for once that is good tips!
ОтветитьLoved your video! We went to Paris several years ago and had all 3 of the scams tried on us. The woman with the ring was super insistent. I just told her I don’t wear gold and we walked away. I would suggest getting a navigo card to make train travel easier, those little paper tickets are a pain to keep track of.
ОтветитьDon'ts of Paris: Don't listen to music on the train to Versailles. You might miss the "Move to the front cars"
announcement & end-up in train-storage for quite a while.
Once in the Palace, Do Not reach over the ropes to pry open one of the windows that are ajar
(for Awesome Garden photos). You will promptly be escorted out by Security.
Double check your itinerary, even when your Parisian friend (who hasn't played tourist for a
Decade, and tells you that "Oui! Mardi c'est genial pour vesiter le Louvre"🙄
And DON'T forget "Bounjour" when you walk in & "Merci" when you leave, and..... ENJOY!!!!!
paris dont to me.... lack of mid night life. metro and public transportation closed 11 pm. lack of theater life.... the rest if excelent... the city, the mussems , the cafes, every thing else.
ОтветитьDon’t forget that Paris has several incredible gothic churches that haven’t burned down.
ОтветитьThe boulangerie Ohhh so yummy. I went there every day when I visited.
Ответитьil manque la gare st lazare , ça permet d'aller au mont st michel par exemple :) ou a rouen accessoirement
ОтветитьNEVER say "I'm an idiot"
ОтветитьWatch Emily in Paris before coming to Paris 😅😅
ОтветитьDon’t go into sections where there are cockroaches from Afrika
ОтветитьYour videos helped me prep for studying abroad in Italy a few years ago, and now for my trip to Paris! These videos are so helpful so thank you!!
ОтветитьMy friends and I got on the metro and went to the huge flea market north of the city. It was amazing.
ОтветитьThank you very much ,always extremely helpful
ОтветитьGreat video! We’ve spent many weeks in Paris over the past several years and you are right on!
ОтветитьGreat advice. Having gone in 2019, my most recommendation is: Make a reservation for everything! Don't leave anything to chance. We had no trouble getting into any of the major sites because of reservations. The others would be: Take a Seine cruise. Ours started at the canal, which gave a very interesting perspective. Another (unpopular as it may be) is unless you have a private tour guide who will skip the line, forget about the Mona Lisa. Unless you want to spend an inordinate amount of time in line, only to be squashed in with everyone else holding up their cellphones to see one painting, walk through other parts of this specious museum.
ОтветитьThis guy knows Paris, follow all his advices. Je suis français, et je sais de quoi je parle. Waiters are horrible, not so respecful, désolé pour ça. Enjoy your trip in Paris, la vie est belle !!!
ОтветитьHappy to heard you mention my adopted city ! Grenoble is one of the best destinations if you want to find a city that balances modernity, art and nature. Spoiler: You will fall in love of the mountains !
ОтветитьThe part on not walking across the roundabout to get to the Arc de Triomphe is so true. As a Parisian, it really pisses me off since driving through the heavy traffic there is kind of daunting, buth having to dodge jaywalkers gets on my nerves....
ОтветитьDO use the restroom before you go to the Eiffel Tower. They are in very short supply in the area.
ОтветитьHow about the bed bugs that are everywhere in Paris ?
ОтветитьI have just found this very great channel. I would say: if you only visit three cities in Europe you must, must visit London, Paris and Rome. Being English I have a slight bias, but I love all three and they are only in that order because of it.
ОтветитьI was there about 20 years ago.
I want to come back again for my 75th birthday. When I was there before we went up and down the many stairs to the metro. I can still walk around Paris but I have a problem doing stairs. Because I have some problems with my knees and breathing when I climb . I know when I was there. Someone told me about the hop-on hop-off buses. Is that still an option for getting around Paris? Or is there some other way? That's easier to get around Paris without going up-and-down the stairs to the metros.
Going to Brussels & Paris in December. Hoping for less rain & nice Christmas Markets 😅
ОтветитьParis is our favorite city and we have been there several times. One of our treats when in Paris is having a ridiculously expensive lunch on the Champs Elysse, but we plan for that expense, and we love it! Make sure to try the French onion soup on Paris, it is amazing!! Hello from Canada!!
ОтветитьHi sir, just want to know if it’s ok to explore paris on the month of April?
ОтветитьActually, do go to the Louvre on a Tuesday if you just want to take pics 😂😂… also, i find the train system in France confusing
ОтветитьWent to Paris for the first time just last week and was pickpocketted on..yep..the Metro 7 train from Garde de Norde. Was late during rush hour due to RER strike shutting down the train from CDG. Yeah. Full Paris experience in 45 minutes. Best part: The high speed train ride out of Paris, never to return.
ОтветитьI deal with the petitioners and the scammers who approach you (having lived in Paris for years) extend your arm with your palm outward towards them and say "non" in a clear, firm voice. They will assume you are a local and leave.
ОтветитьThanks for the video, Mark.
ОтветитьFrance is amazing. Paris too. Very chic and very fun. Just don’t be an idiot you will be fine.
ОтветитьTaking the Train, get there early and take your ticket to the little yellow box for a date stamp!!! If not you can pay a fine for not have it validated! Yes you bought your ticket, but it is not valid without that date stamp at the station with a date stamp of that day! This fine can be 100 euros or more per person! I didn’t know and the train staff gave me a pass and warning, which never ever happens! ( if little yellow stamp box is broken, it will have a notice, snap a photo of it and show on phone and no fines!!! :)
ОтветитьWe found cafes that were reasonably priced and cozy and worth the atmosphere! Google for discounts always for hotels. I was leaving my grown up daughter 5 extra days on her own and found a great deal at a 5 star hotel… where they greeted her with a tour of the place, the swimming pool and the connected restaurant / pub!
:)
Go to American Express if you have the card to exchange currency for small purchases. Otherwise you will get taken with a horrid horrid exchange rate in the street shop exchanges. One shop girl recommended one, my first visit there and I was smart and changed just $20. Tge rate was so bad I left and waited to go to Amex for anything more. Mostly use card which will give the going rate… but I have also “bought” euros at home before going, one from a local gal who owned her florist shop, and they often don’t charge the rate, they are glad not to pay a reversion exchange rate! :)
ОтветитьCan't wait to land in a few days! Great video :) :)
ОтветитьThank you. I'm taking my sister for the first time. Very helpful!
ОтветитьWatch out for pickpockets on the trains; also, they steal your handbags in a second at Hotels, a city of thieves.
ОтветитьBro where is this guy not??
ОтветитьDon't ask for a change of items on a dinner plate..You are in the part of the world known for its food..They take pride on what's there..
Cafe's And bistro's ..Inside no smoking,,Out side You will see some table with plates (food) And some with just glasses Or nothing *Drinking table And many of those they smoke with a drink
If you don't speak French ..learn a few words to respect them And not look like your a hick from America ..French are not rude But they will not bother with someone that wants something for nothing
Hours of stores/dining 7am (most open at 8am) They close shops for lunch You will also find white notes on locked doors If you are a Tourist...Go before it opens for that must have item...Otherwise you will need to cue in a line at later hours.
Dont spend more than a few days in Paris ...France has so much more to offer villages perchés like the one i have a home in - Saint-Paul de Vence, about a 30-minute drive from Nice. in southern France. If you love sea food even the Italians come here : ) Apprécier /Enjoy !
How about just don't go there. Paris is one of the most over-rated tourist traps in the world.
ОтветитьLOWER YOUR VOICE & TAKE A VALIUM.
ОтветитьMy niece was pickpocketed and lost her phone in Paris last week 😢
ОтветитьWill be there in 2 weeks! Your video on Rome saved me so much time and money and I recommend you to everyone.
ОтветитьYah thanks a lot❤
ОтветитьI carry cash . Cash is king .
ОтветитьDon’t forget you can have a picnic outside with wine!!🍷
Good tip about taking the metro. Don’t forget it’s not open real late- like after 1 am
You rule amigo. Such a great vibe you have. I have seen so many videos that make visiting Paris seem scary. Pickpockets, scams, etc. I know they are trying to be helpful but they seem to put a dark hue on the trip. Grateful for you and excited to head over there!
ОтветитьLoved every moment in Paris. My waiter experience was terrific.
ОтветитьYou are in the most heavily militarized zone of France. That area is fine. It's basically everything outside and it's still sometimes even in that circle you'll get scammed gypped whatever. The Palace of Versailles is another key example of that's actually not as militarized and should be, but it's not. And then we have a Free speech corridor /park. That's crazy dangerous. I mean you're talking about mobs of thousands of people and the last thing I want for people to do is to walk in there and act as if it's just another walk in the park. It's not.
ОтветитьHow much did the government of France give you to make this video?
Ответить
