Hello Suja: Thank you very much for this helpful video.
My new US passport number starts with an alphabet (A). I applied for updating new US passport information in OCI card and that went well.
But when I go to OCI status enquiry form it does not accept the passport number. I suspect this is because passport number has an alphabet but the form is expecting only numbers (although the field prompt says enter alphabets and numbers). I believe this is a bug in the form but I don't see any way to contact the consulate or VFS about this issue so that they can fix it. Any ideas?

Hi, I have recevied only the submission acknowledgment via email. I checked the status few weeks later and my new details have been updated in OCI records. But I have not received any other acknowledgement for updation. Which proof I can take with me at the airport with my existing OCI Card?. Please clarify. Thanks.

After updating new passport and address, do we get a new OCI card by mail? or old OCI card with Acknowledgment letter is good enough to travel till my minor child needs to get new US passport after 5 years?

W had to renew his passport last year in 2023. So my question does he still need to renew OCI ? I am little confused because his passport was renewed before he turned 20. Please advise . TIA

I am trying to get new OCI for my daughter as she got a new passport at 15 years. So as per the video I do not need a new OCI card til she is 20. All I need is to upload the required documents. Is this correct?

I have done the Passport update for my kid after renewing his passport. I see the current status is "Your details have been updated in OCI records." Does it mean i wont get new OCI card for him. Five years ago when i did OCI renewal, i got new OCI card. Is the process changed only to update Passport details and wont get new OCI card?

Can you please tell me that there is a Gratis and chrageable service. The charageable is over 20 and over 50 is the gratis service. I have been told that if you are over 20 you will need to make a VFS Global appoibtnent but not for over 50. Can you be clinical and provide an explanation about this thank you.

Suppose you already got a OCI card reissued after 50 with the new passport, again after 60, if you get a new passport, still do you need to ‘update or link’ your new passport in OCI portal ? This was never answered anywhere in the portal faq other than ‘once after 50’. Not sure you are still active and replying to subscriber questions.

I have got this confirmation with File number but there is Remark mention as "Your application has been acknowledged by competent authority. It is being processed and will be updated soon." is there any other updates am I expecting .Or I can travel to India with this OCI Status report?
