I'm not a celery fan either, so probably would omit it.🤮 Definitely prepare mac&cheese 1st, THEN add in cooked beef, onions, corn. I'd use fresh chopped tomatoes & lose the can paste. Top w/ shredded cheddar cheese. Bingo~much better!~jmo😊❤

My grandma used to make something really similar. It didn’t have celery or onions. It was one of my favorite dishes she would make ❤ now I make it for my son. He even requests it but I don’t add the tomato paste. So it’s just macaroni and cheese with hamburger and corn

I would've put the onions, celery, meat, paste, then mix pasta and cheese, then mix together, but honestly it doesn't sound great lol. I did not like hamburger helper, think it was the flavor packet, the seasoning...

I would sauté the celery so it isn't as crunchy. I also don't like cooked celery!! Ooo and some extra shredded cheddar cheesy would give it a good oomf to it!! Maybe some garlic and onion powder too!!

My family makes something similar to this, we don't do onion or celery and we add beef broth and tomato sauce instead of paste and several more seasonings and we call it goulash! It's pretty good
