Cristian Silva is a talented bladesmith from Buenos Aires, Argentina doing fantastic work with an high level of fit and finish. He is capable of creating many styles of knives, including high performance hunters and bowies, highly ornate daggers, and kitchen knives. This bowie is an exceptional example of Silva's exemplary skills.
The 9.1 inch blade is forged to shape from Cristian's own damascus, combining carbon steels into the intricate pattern. The high contrast pattern is perfectly executed and will have you staring at it for hours. The blade is flat ground and has perfectly even plunge lines. The top clip stops just short of being fully sharpened, but could be sharpened if desired. Silva's touchmark is on the left side of the blade.
The handle is African blackwood. The handle scales are sculpted and provide an extremely comfortable grip. Coined nickel silver spacers surround a larger blackened steel frame. The blackened steel guard is perfectly fit to the handle and blade with no gaps.
To keep the knife close at hand, a tooled leather custom sheath is included. The beautiful sheath includes alligator inlay.
Exceptional work throughout!
