By JAVED JALIL

Union is the Integration of opposites and similarities into an interactive pulsation of life, bridging communication, learn ing, and dissolving contradictions.
This timeless exhibition of linearity-depicting solely into print, drawings links past and present, echoing reminiscence into the contemporary. The surge of breaking from colonial British India birthed a spirit of independence, later spurring linguistic and religious differences, leading to the creation of Pakistan and the separation of Bengal. This complex inter play of colonial history, religious identity, political aspiratioris, and individuality quests shaped India and Bangladesh. The partition of Bengal, driven by life's fluidity, left hereditary dilemmas within new patterns, where sentimentality and progress couple individuality, reciprocating the past with the present.

Bijon Chowdhury, with his distinctive personal observations and renderings, delves into themes of relational dialogue.
Jogen Chowdhury's fluidity and bold plant forms project moments and inner metaphors. Aditi Basar's portrait emerges with resonance and a voluminous sculptural essence, embodying a dynamic presenice. Biren Shome ornaments depic tions of women in silhouette space of white lines on black. Dali Makhai, and the Chaplain print with the vibration and tactile noise of the surface, Murtaza Baseer's portrays an austere face with sharp ingresque contoured lines. With broken, bold intensity, Mustafa Monwar depicts the side profile.

Nisar Hossain's diabolic surges of human and animal intrinsic natures Kanak Chanpa Chakma with ink washes of obscurity tells stories of women in her intimate monologues. Porag Roe depicts the monstrous onto the innocent mingling of the cow, exaggerating forms to interpose the conflict within us. Geometric patterns of flat shapes integrate into the moving landscape, as a still interior from the lit window bars. Ranjit Das a sensi tive mystery figure embarks on a journey of touchy tales, silent words, and the boat.

Samarjit Roy layers folk designs within broken patterns of colorful life. Somnath Hore rejoices with a cry, a victory both intertwined with a gesture of giving away and dependency. Sheikh Afzal presents a friendly caricature in ink, melding into a virtuosity of amplified characters, satire, and deep resonance. Srikanti Paul, in his exploration of the image, immerses himself in meditation, embodying a profound symbol of self-sacrifice and belief, with the crucifixion etched upon the forehead, an emblem of divine conviction. Rafiqun Nabi delves into conversations of impulsive-thin marks of animated curiosity with his meeting of crows. Partha Dasgupta reveals the pres sured burden of weight and the dark strangeness of structure reveal a distant gaze of longing for salvation. In the preliminary stages of exploring visual narratives, in this show, there are also other image-makers, contributing to converge and map the landscape of individuality and unity. A collective display of 33 Indian artists and 13 Bangladeshi artists into linking hub of expression nostalgic reminiscence and placement of image making where separation and inclusiveness feed its awareness with the now.
