As for sponsoring someone. To avoid not applying for state assistance or benefits! I don’t know why they think immigrants without documentation will go apple for government assistance. They do not do that especially Nigerians because they know already. But Latinos and Ethiopians and Middle Eastern Do go to try to apply because they do not understand the rules mainly because they are not understand the language and the system. But west Africans of Anglophones Do understand those Anglophones Africans are busy thinking of how to be documented. Latino From the villages thinks as soon as they have children they are legal right away. And the system never ever give assistant without a proof of legal documents. Never ever and sponsors need income level to sponsor. So that document requesting sponsorships needs to be amended and changed that word sponsorship. Because illegal immigrants do never ever gets assistant from any state unless they have children born in the country the parents will get assistance for their American children.The only way Uncle Sam can stop illegals immigrants from getting benefits is when they giving citizenship to their children born in the country. And lots of immigrants have worked and paid into the system and when they get old and decided to go back to their country of origin they just go and never collect their retirement all those money goes to pay for Americans on SSI those who did not contribute enough to collect. So Americans should respect immigrants because majority of them don’t depend on Retirement to survive they have worked and send money home to live on. Be careful sponsoring people who may not go back may backfire on you. Remember that in the 8ths Immigrants can just walked into Social Security office and get Their Number. But that stopped in the early 9ths. Since then immigrants who knows started using EIN tax ID which they use to pay taxes and Uncle Sam accept this. But people can’t use Tax ID to apply for Food stamps or medical. You will be giving Salvation Army and some food banks phone number. This all they can do to give you information.
