I simply love this guy. I saw the Australian series called underbelly, and it had a two-part special on David McMillan and his escapades, and I simply love this man and his story. Against all odds, he ends up, being the reliable narrator, oddly enough, when usually men who live in the underbelly, if you will live the sort of lives, turned out to be exactly the opposite the unreliable narrator. The ultimate, charismatic, charming Britt, who ended up in Australia upon his families, mass exitus out of Britain, the man so charming. How can you not love him. I could listen to his stories for days.

By the time I finally came to look at the comments, I was honestly kind of shocked that so many people found this guy's storytelling good, because what I was thinking was, "there are people who are born storytellers, people who no one would doubt are good storytellers, and there are people like this, who speak as if they BELIEVE they are good storytellers, but clearly are not. Isn't that fascinating how we humans can pick up on that even when it's very subtle, as is the case here, where the man is clearly not a terrible storyteller. But then he begins using very odd analogies and quips that fly by so quickly one would barely notice. It you can't bullshit a bullshitter kind of feeling. Then, alas, I come here and it's unanimous, everyone thinks this guy is the greatest storyteller of all! Oh well humanity, sorry I had faith in ya for a minute.
