Believe me,this is not gonna be like the W25,it will be the W25 and apart from that,face it,this piece of s**t doesn't have any titanium in it apart from maybe a polishing of titanium on the rails,just like the S24 Ultra

Yes, I understand that most people don't use the S Pen at all (or even have it). Saw a poll, something like a fifth of respondents used theirs regularly - so most of the market would probably prefer a thinner device over S Pen support. But there are already so many reasons not to get a fold over an S Ultra, that one more would tip me over the edge to go back to slab phones whenever it's time to upgrade again.

I'm interested in this Fold "SE" only because of the size (I hate the current form factor of the Z fold ...).
It's one of the things (in addition to the crease and camera ...) that block me to take a Z Fold.

So have a bigger external screen + Samsung software package will be a good thing.
I hope samsung will release it globally and not just China ...

I like the .2 inch larger screen. I like the better cameras. I like the bigger battery. I like digitizer bye bye for better weight, size and thinness.

The s pen is the only real selling feature to sell the fold if you lose that you might as well go elsewhere since what else is it offering

In other news … we are down to a few days until we are unboxing our pixel fold pros !

Thin is okay but what we really want is the FULL camera suite from the S24 Ultra on a folder from Samsung. Enough is enough, I'm not planning on compromising again for a folding phone without a top notch camera and bigger battery.

Am I the only one that does not care about how thin it is and more worried about the camera!!!

They just had one job. Better cameras. Not thinner. Not a bigger battery. Better cameras. Is Samsung deaf???

They should make it significantly bigger screen, give it 16gb ram and 512gb ssd, microsd slot, add 3mm in thickness and double the battery size, add a headphone socket and excellent audio DAC, and throw in a s-pen inside.

Watching Chinese foldables get me more excited for the Open 2

- Device needs to be overall thinner (around 10mm slimmer is better of course)
- Camera needs an upgrade to be actual flagship ideally matching the ultra cameras (camera bump can get bigger if the device overall where you actually hold it is thin enough to comfortably hold it)
- wider front screen similar to the OPO
- larger battery (yes i know I also want a thinner device but making the device wider should help offset what you lose in depth. Then also add the newer battery tech chinese foldables have gotten like the honor v3 or the vivo)
- And a similar coating as they have with the ultra which reduces reflections and therefor should help alot hiding the crease, similar like OPO did it.

An S Pen is cool but if thats the reason they dont get it thinner I can lose that for overall thinness. Especially as the S Pen is not even stored in the device like the Note series or the Ultras today.

I can care less about thin, how much I'm paying for it, I'm putting a case on it which bulks it up anyways. So give me a wider thicker phone with built-in SPen and better camera and better battery.

Nothing new, china other countries usually get ultra version or special versions...these wont come to the states though.

I wouldn't care if it was as thick as a deck of cards and weighed as much as a roll of quarters as long as the outer screen was bigger, the S Pen could be used on both screens, and the S Pen was integrated into the chassis. I don't really even care if they kept the camera the same...again.

Pixel outer screen is absolutely hideous to my eye, I just can't get over what a poor job they did esthetically. I'd go for an 8" whopper from Samsung if it keeps same specs. And of course, price dependant.

Dumb just give us flag spec cameras and a bigger battery this is not the space race to make it the thinnest device

The thinnest form factor is achievable so why not go for it, and while Samsung is pursuing thinnest, they should add top tier cameras and faster charging speed with adequate battery capacity. I wonder if Special Edition is same as Ultra version? But it seems like Samsung just get an epiphany to abandoned that narrow external screen. 😎💯💪🏾👍🏾 Also if the thin form factor will sacrifice or omit the S pen slot, then it is a sacrifice that have to be made. Sometimes the omission of certain things is necessary to achieve a particular goal and this case it is the S pen slot.

Thinner and lighter is the way to go for Samsung IMO. The Honor Magic isn't just thinner and lighter; it uses advanced battery technology (silicone carbon) I believe. So they have a bigger display and a higher capacity battery, that charges at a much faster rate as well. The only problem is, the camera module is Hideous!
Kudos to Samsung, for being the most durable in the category though.

This is just the W series used to exclusive in chinese market, which is often positioned to be the luxury tier of the samsung phones. however, it's mostly about aesthetics changes

Seems similar? I think not. I game, and I know based on all the Pixel phones I've owned.. they're absolute junk in this category. Also Pixel phones sound really tinny.
