This year on our trip to Arizona we decided to swing through Moab for 4 nights (which was extended to 5 nights due to snow in Colorado). What a fantastic area!
For my last video in 2022, I wanted to showcase the Corona Arch Trail in the Moab area. It is a great hike that is incredibly scenic and has been on my mind to generate a video of my hike there. Just the drive from Moab to the Trailhead is amazingly beautiful as highway 279 (Potash Road) follows the Colorado River with stunning cliffs. This is another hike that is outside of the famous National Parks of Moab and with minimal hiking effort, you see three arches and are treated to some of the most beautiful scenery in the area (IMHO). It seems this is a popular trail, but since it was cold by Utah standards (35F) when I started hiking at 10am there were not a lot of people there. As I was finishing up my hike the temperatures were warming up and I saw many groups headed in. The cable and ladder part of the hike was pretty tame so don't like that scare you away. If you go to Moab take some extra days to explore the area outside the national parks.
