i had actually no idea about the wiggle thing
there have been so many situations where it wouldve been nice to know that instead of turning up an idea to settle for a less optimal solution because it wouldnt work in tumble
I miss my wife
ОтветитьHOLD UP A LINK WON?!!!!
ОтветитьLink discord in shambles lol
ОтветитьCan someone help me understand what the developers were thinking when making mele? I've heard rumors that they were just releasing an unfinished game which happened to be an imperfect masterpiece. Like there's seems to be so much accidental thought into it. Mele seems to be one of the most impactful games ever created, and its a rushed game...?! How did this all come to be?
ОтветитьGreat breakdown!
Ответитьi been saying for so so long llink aint that bad
ОтветитьI love that I knew about this tech and regularly use it many years before this video came out.
ОтветитьGot a sticker and printing was dodgy. Reached out for a replacement but never heard back
Ответить最高のオタクコンテンツ!
ОтветитьAmazing. Miss your music man hope you make more
ОтветитьI love Melee
ОтветитьFantastic play !
ОтветитьStill the best content on the earth!
Ответитьmelee is beautiful and so is this video
ОтветитьAnother reason why melee is the most beautiful game
ОтветитьAwesome editing 😊
ОтветитьMan, Melee was coded on toilet paper 😂
ОтветитьI assume the reason they made it so you can't air dodge out of tumble is so that you can't accidentally SD right after a big hit
Which we sometimes still see top players do when they hit slideoffs they were trying to tech, but a lot more might happen to low-level players with delayed reaction times if they let you directly airdodge out of tumble.
He also faded back after the grapple to avoid a hit which was pretty key.
ОтветитьThe unsung hero in that interaction is the fade back tether after the airdodge forward, incredible presence of mind from Aklo!
ОтветитьI fell off of Smash a long time ago, but I knew this kind of thing would happen eventually, man. I knew the low tiers would start coming back and being explored. Too many older players and smash gods focusing on what's meta and saying x character sucks and isn't worth playing, yet here we are. I think AMSA really set the ball in motion with his legendary and unheard of Yoshi run, and then recently there's been a huge resurgence of Donkey Kong players too. Now we got a Link taking games off of Zain, one of the best players to ever pick up the controller. Crazy set.
Ответитьur my hero of time phraser
ОтветитьYou missed one other trick he did. Aklo air dodges in, tethers, then drifts back immediately to dodge the bair while the tether came out. Another subtle decision that saved his life.
ОтветитьThis editing made me fail NNN
Ответитьsubbing because that production quality is unreal. its not just the breakdown but the presentation of it. phenomenal work, makes me want to start smash again.
ОтветитьMore like the hero of timing, amirite?
ОтветитьWow, superb editing (and thank you for keeping it short!)
ОтветитьI miss these kind of tethers maaaan
ОтветитьI don't understand at all but I know it's crazy and that's all that matters
ОтветитьTethers should have stayed the way they were on melee. Brawl edge guard was ridiculous and tethers were short as hell. Sm4sh and Ultimate are predictable and easily punishable.
On melee you can aim high or low on the stage, you can go as far as the bottom of Battlefield and Final, you can mix the speed of the recovery by delayin the retrieving, angle your hop, change the momentum, jump out and even cancel it on the air for mindgames or to mix your recovery. They still weren't god recovery, but versatility was there.
Is funny how this is like basic knowledge for us Link players, but people still get amazed by this kind of techniques 😅 the way he softly drift away from marth after he perfectly aim for the stage is the real top level play
It makes me sad I will never be able to play Melee at this level. I'm 37 and feel it is too late. I should have gone deeper into Melee when I was a teen.
ОтветитьSo wait, wall-jumping gives super armor? How many characters can even wall jump? This was good on so many levels. 10/10 fight sequemce, 9.9/10 presentation
Ответитьmy guy used the ocarina to go back in the past and record this video after he saw aklo beat zain this weekend
ОтветитьAnd there I was, furiously rushing out b-airs to get out of tumble with Young-link, to get my airdodge->hookshot ready. Thanks for telling me I can wiggle way out! ':D
ОтветитьGodlike editing 🔥
ОтветитьSick video. Love this channel instantly!
ОтветитьAnyone who beats Zain just gets their own mini-doc these days.
ОтветитьAmazing.
ОтветитьLink
ОтветитьHe has to work way harder to win.
ОтветитьThank you for making this video. I love short and concise melee videos showing off cool things you normally don’t see. And well edited!
ОтветитьI love that decades later we're still getting unexpected characters in top level competitive Melee. 20XX never actually came to pass.
ОтветитьAklo's Link is inspirational sheesh!
ОтветитьAnd why tf is this not an ability in ultimate
Ответить20XX?
Hah!
More like 20KK
aklo is so cracked that he makes link look like a character
Ответитьgod i fucking love melee
ОтветитьI think one day aklo will win a major.
ОтветитьMe learning more about Link from this video✍📝
