Nice choices. I already have my 5 lined up and ready to go for filming. I don't think you'll be too surprised when you see the knives I picked
ОтветитьThat same 940 is by far my most carried knife, love it.
ОтветитьSurprised not to see a wharncliffe in the 5.
ОтветитьI have the Knifecenter exclusive Manix in Cruwear with CF scales.
ОтветитьI think the Dao would make the list if you redid this in a month
ОтветитьBrian, in the past week I’ve become a huge fan of your channel after discovering it. Keep up the great work! 👍
If you happen to be in the practice of indulging your subscribers, PLEASE remove the sticker on your table and place it parallel with the grid lines!!!
Fun video! Love the 940 and especially the Knifeworks Exclusive!
ОтветитьZT 0609 is my new fav...
ОтветитьMassdrop gent not an honorable mention??? :(
ОтветитьCool vid! Enjoyed!
ОтветитьThere is more tool and less art on the table then most reviewers. I think that is why our taste often aligns. My top 5 match more than 50%
Ответить"Its cheap buy one" From your mouth to my white mountain knives shopping cart. Also, I would have thought the Rectifier would have been on here.
ОтветитьSpiderco Dragonfly 2 Salt.I live in Europe and knife law is very strict
ОтветитьI had a bareknuckle for two days. Sent it right back. That detent is atrocious. If my hands were sweaty, or if you hit the tab just a little bit off, the blade wouldn't budge. I'm pretty disappointed with Kershaw lately.
ОтветитьI really like the peel ply carbon fiber too
ОтветитьI think the barenuckle is a great pic, i think its underappreciated but in time i think it will shine, after its been used alot. Great vids by the way thanks for all the hard work for me to see.
ОтветитьFun to watch! Here’s mine:
#5 BM 940. I try not to like this knife, but the wonderful design somehow manages to overpower the crappy QC of my sample.
#4 ZT 0450. My first knife over $100 and my gateway to poverty😉! A bit thick behind the edge, but otherwise the standard by which I judge all other knives.
#3 Spydiechef. No explanation needed.
#2 CR Umnumzaan. If I was limited to one knife for my lifetime (EDC, dress-up, work, outdoors, game processing, longevity, pride of ownership, etc.) the drop point ‘Zaan would be the one.
#1 Spyderco Southard. It gets a lot of harsh criticism, and it has some quirks, but I love it. Yes the (idiotic) washers are dished, but mine still flips great! The push-button technique suits me, the stonewash and grind are amazing, I even find the asymmetric scale thickness endearing. No one does eclectic like Spyderco. It’s like visiting an old friend each time I pick it up.
If you think the Sage 5 is nice, you owe it to yourself to carry the Sage 2 before they are all gone. Its everything the Sebenza should have been but isn't.
I don't get the appeal of the BM940. I have tried to like it. I have 3, the std. aluminum one, boring, bought the carbon fiber S90v. It keeps me thinking "I paid nearly $300 for THIS?" and don't want to damage it so bought the Knifeworks exclusive. Love the blue accent, still can't to love carrying it. Oh well.
Soooo we need to talk about AEW so should I just dm you on ig? Let me know
ОтветитьIf the PM2 is there, I'll give you the first thumbs down :O
There we go, sorry.
Jokes on you, I am too ugly to have ex-girlfriends to analyze! :'(
ОтветитьWhat I find with those higher end Chinese companies is what you said, too many different models. This may just be my opinion, but I find that a lot of their knives have no soul/personality. The companies seem to just be ticking boxes that people look for in knives without actually thinking about how they will stand up to fads dying.
ОтветитьNice selection, thanks
ОтветитьI bet it's less about the variety the Chinese companies offer (Spyderco has many models too, but 2 made the cut), and more about that Chinese knife is some form of frame lock or liner lock and it gets boring. The also haven't narrowed their scope to have working knives with high end steel, they're all either super steel+titanium/carbon fiber or average steel+ G10.
Ответить“You just made the list!” Chris Jericho reference? WWE fan? Great choices by the way!
ОтветитьGreat choices man. Some classics mixed in with some new ones. When i get a chance I will be sure to make a video for this tag.
ОтветитьWonder if Knifeworks will release a Bugout after the 940?
ОтветитьThought the TRM Neutron would for sure be on the list
ОтветитьYou like finger choils. I do not.
ОтветитьPM2 and 940 are fugly knives.
ОтветитьI have the pm2 and code 4 spear point. I liked it so much I got the bowie code 4 as well
ОтветитьHow do you have a 3 way battle to the death with a sage 5, where the sage 5 comes in dead last, and the two knives that beat it aren't in your "top all time" but the sage 5 is...?
ОтветитьYAWn
Ответить1 PM2
2 Buck 110 auto
3 Cold Steel Recon 1
4 Spyderco Shaman
5 Benchmade Griptilian
I would of thought the neutron would’ve made it
ОтветитьLove tri ad lock
ОтветитьMy top 5:
1. Sebenza 21 large micarta inlays
2. Benchmade 940-1
3. Native 5 CF S90V
4. Benchmade Bugout CF
5. ZT470
Honorable mentions: Mini Crooked River 20cv and Hinderer 3in slicer grind.
Top five folding knives EDC as of 2019 with a twist.
The categories (and my picks from my collection)
1) Grail, I don't have it yet and resigned to having to have a true custom made up combining the features of three knives (Reate Horizon D, Reate Torrent 2105 and Real Steel Megalodon Titan 2017)
2) Tank, ZT0920
3) Performer (here's one of the twists) WE Practic and Steel Will Cutjack C-22-b
4) Shocker Maxace Corvus II
5) Overall (here's one of the twists) Reate Horizon D and Real Steel Megalodon Titan 2017
Honorable mention (overall) Reate Torrent 2015
Personally my favorite edc knife is the Benchmade triage with the n680 steel blacked out sheepsfoot blade with a seat belt cutter and window breaker feels great in hand the black blade goes great with the orange g10 scales flys open fast with one hand closes one handed the same way easy and fast and is a proven tuff knife not to heavy but not super light just like I would want it unless I’m in gym shorts or jogging.
ОтветитьMicrotech Socom Elite manual m390
ОтветитьI absolutely love "leaf-shaped" knife blades. I absolutely hate holes in knife blades. Thank God Microtech makes something for me.
ОтветитьFunny, I started out collecting Case knives, then went to Chinese Ganzo knives. Today I am more of a Microtech guy. I'm also a big fan of the Benchmade 940 (original green Al.) and the Kershaw Blur.
Ответитьmy most frequent carry is my CS Vaquero XL which I will frequently back with a SAK Tinker
ОтветитьMy Modified SOG Terminus XR. D2 . . . I realized I am cheap and if I want to alter and beat on a knife that is still freaking beautiful and well made, I can, And I can buy another one and do the same thing with it cheaply if I need to!
ОтветитьI really like the WE rectifier it's a perfect size for EDC and it's really well made
ОтветитьOne day I will have my pm2 again
ОтветитьThese are nice choices. I love so many I love it and my love never leaves. Right now I'm loving a hinderer.
ОтветитьNice picks!
