Nice to see that British comedians think Australian culture only exists since colonial times. I suspect the people of the worlds longest continuous culture, Indigenous Australians, might disagree on who has real history.

Australia was not completely a convict nation. Adelaide was a free colony and never had any convicts. As for David O'Docherty, he is the most annoying and least funniest person in the entire world and yet Ireland has such a happy-go-lucky attitude and a magnificent sense of Humour.

As for Sarah Pascoe, there have been people living in Australia for over 40,000 years and the fact that we have animals here like Emus. Kangaroos and Crocodiles (as opposed to Alligators) that are unique to our country, we have more culture and better cuisine then the UK. Everything that the UK has was brought in by Romans, Vikings, Saxons when they drove the Celts and Picts out of England.

So if our culture was from convicts brought over from the UK, then your culture was from being invaded by so many nations over the centuries.

To answer Jon's question, it depends on context. For example, I have a binder of trading cards and I put the "The"s and "A"s under T and A, respectively, since that's where they would be if you Googled them. As for video games, I usually skip the "The" and do the second word.

I once played violin at a wedding where the bride decided to go to the church on a horse. What she did not realise is that horse shoes are very slippery on cobble stones. So when the horse approached the church he slipped and fell sending the bride flying breaking her arm and gave the horse a heart attack in the process. Was a very memorable wedding.

They've got a pretty ignorant view of Australian history... Sure, everyone except Indigenous Australians are a pretty mixed bag when it comes to culture because we all only rocked up to the continent in the last 150 years. For example, I'd have to say my culture is English/Scottish but that in itself is influenced by lifestyle and religion, as is everyone's culture, minus religion for some. Britain is in the same boat really. They've been inundated with migrants and refugees so their country is far more multicultural than it was 50 years ago. It's a low blow to accuse anyone of having no culture. It's the equivalent of suggesting someone has been raised by wolves or something. We're all raised in A culture.

Silly Englishmen, "White" Australia only started existing 5 minutes ago.

The title and thumbnail were all a set up for the worst bit in the whole video and it wasn’t even a joke, just an odd and very slightly offensive thing to say.

Every time I hear Susie read out loud, it amazes me how flat her intonation, phrasing, and stress are. It throws me every time, because I just assume she'll be a very expressive reader due to her line of work.
