When one sees 1:1 next to each other, it is easy to spot fake, it is easier if one can touch and feel - but during booming online deals, risk is much, much bigger - so there must be some option to "gray list" sellers who distribute fakes.

Good video, although I suspect most people will buy the better fakes, there are some good ones out there(Chinese ETA copy movement). Seems like a lot of people are asking not so much "Is this a fake", but rather "how convincing a fake is it?". But I hope people heed your message about not a buying a fake at all! God Bless!

I have a question regarding a Tissot watch, maybe you can help me.
I want to buy this watch " Tissot Le Locle Gold Automatic ".
I've found this watch with 2 different mechanisms:
1. ETA 2824 Calibre
2. Powermatic 80
Which one is better ? I understood that Powermatic 80 is a newer mechanism.
Also is a big difference at the prices in my country. Powermatic 80 is more expensive than ETA 2824 Calibre.
For which one should I go ?

Having said that, most people don't know the difference between quartz and automatic and, to be fair, for $26, that's an extremely well-done fake. For $26, 99% of people won't know that it's not a fake and while a watch enthusiast would feel bad about wearing a fake, most people wouldn't even know that it was a fake, let alone care.

the first obvious thing is the logo and the second hand moving like a quartz on a watch that should move like an automatic.

Honestly unless they are right next to each other, and you are a watch expert, the average person wouldn't know the difference. You would really have to be educated or watch this video to know. 95% of the people will just see the name and immediately think it's real. Just like all the fake Gucci and LV stuff, only people who know, know, the other majority will think it's real.

Come on! You have a quartz watch claiming to have am automatic movement. How dumb someone can be to miss it!

i don't usually hate on fake watches if they're done well, but man this thing is atrocious 😂 the case back on the fake made me cringe
