i truly wonder if she used the kickstarter money for her hospital bills.. thats insane
ОтветитьThat’s -
Literally all of this is cause to sue. I know people get uppity about suing parents, but she deliberately scammed people and waited until they were well passed the window to issue refunds to ‘start sending out orders’. She more or less money laundered and she should either send out the plushies or issue refunds. If she doesn’t, people need to take legal action.
this really reminded me of the kimotoki rainbow monkey onesies that got semi-popular on tiktok a couple years ago lol, it wasn’t a kickstarter but the items were all pre-order and I genuinely don’t think anyone got anything
ОтветитьThe way she was explaining kickstarter... I could be totally wrong because I am A Poor™️, but isn't that literally how investing works? Or do investors normally get their money back? Isn't kickstarter just investing for poor-middle class people? 😅 I don't really know how investing works, tbh, so I might be totally off.
Thinking of things like Shark Tank, rich people going in together investing on creating some wild experimental research center in movies (& probably real life, who knows lol), these insane 1%-ers who will throw money at a huge, popular companies (like gaming companies, manufacturing, corporate, etc) or non-profits/charities/helpful places for humans & animals/etc to invest in their continued success despite knowing anything could go wrong at any time & their reputation could drown with the company. Maybe real estate investments?
Again, idk how investing works fully since I'm poor asf & not financially savvy at all lol. 💀 But that's what it sounds like to me: a gamble with money. You fund something that you believe in, but don't know what the outcome will be. You invest in the idea of the thing, hoping it comes to fruition. You don't pay for the delivery of the item; that's just buying something. You're investing in someone's dream & trying to help them achieve that dream. But it is a gamble with money, nonetheless. Kickstarter seems to be more about the customer profiting than the person wanting their dreams to come to life, which is normally what investing is about. So maybe I'm a little confused? Idk. 🫠
i backed this. i had been a customer of her shop and had pins from other pre orders( i too am allergic to life) not getting this stuff sucked. she kept drawing it out before the last update there ,so i figured i was out the money pretty quickly. had bought two pillows for my mother and myself. i think i did just the pillow drop not the bears or pin stuff. i don’t think i could stomach 45$ + whatever tariff it would meet at the port nowadays 😂
so annoying that there’s no way for kickstarter to comedown hard on creators and keep the scams to a minimum.
I am the manufacturer , all items that we did for Tiffany has been shipped out to her last year 2024 , I don't know what happened to her but Tiffany is really a nice customer for me , she paid all the balance and maybe she has a baby and met something is very difficult now , I will deleted the post , sorry for the trouble to all the supporters .
ОтветитьWhoa, I remember that kickstarter!!! I almost backed it, good thing I didn't. o_o
ОтветитьNot to speculate on her family's private life, but... Her last post was her starting maternity leave before her pregnancy's due date. There appears to be no contact from her since then. It's possible something went seriously wrong during labour, or afterward with a serious illness developing. Scam/project falling apart does seem more likely in this case though.
Ответитьi am sorry but those hand warmers remind me of the ones at Claires that teenagers buy when they first discovers anime. 😂😂😂
Ответитьalso these are just copy paste with chibi faces of the same plushes on amazon when I look up brain plushes
ОтветитьYou reminded me I backed this, the funny part is that she fulfilled her previous project properly and I received it
Edit: the one I actually received stuff from was for allergy pins, so at least the important project was fulfilled lol
If any of you like cute, informative, medical plushies, try out Giant Microbes! They have a huge selection and I love them
ОтветитьKickstarter doesn't need to enforce anything, they could just have an option on their page that is activated when you back somebody, to declare that you have not received the product you were promised and if more than a certain percentage of backers do this, Kickstarter could try to contact the "entrepreneur" to get answers and if nothing comes out of that, they could just pass it on to the police to have them investigate the fraud. It's not that complicated.
ОтветитьI’m really worried a kickstarter I supported is gonna end up like this. Raised 400k was supposed to be delivered in October and we keep getting nothing burger updates. It’s not years over so it’s not to this degree yet but the creator constantly logs in, doesn’t say anything, and yeah. Really worried about it lol
ОтветитьLol what if she like got kidnapped or like died
ОтветитьIf she spent that 16k on anything else BUT the manufacturer, she scammed everyone. That was not personal money, that was to make products for a brand and to deliver on your promise. So gathering funds? HUH?! Very rude to those backers
ОтветитьWhy was everyone calling the items "rewards"? i thought it was just something they purchased? or did they earn it from something
ОтветитьBruh i would have fought against the charge 😐
ОтветитьI backed a lot of kickstarters and got also scammed once. It was a Color MixMachine called Picolor. After the kickstarter was funded the organisiers run away with the money and we never received anything only empty promises from the organisers until they ghosted us.
ОтветитьKickstarter scam not delivering
And in other news water is wet
(I say this as a Kickstarter backer LMAOOOOOOOO)
Actually, there’s another person who did the same thing.
ОтветитьThey could fix this issue by forcing you to link your bank account and once you clearly abandon your kickstarter they should force a charge back
ОтветитьI backed this and in the end bought it from the manufacturer instead
ОтветитьIs the design supposed to be unique because I seem to remember the uterus one from years ago
Ответить3 years is nothing. I have a Last Unicorn plushie which is 5 years over due and they seem like they are still working on getting it made.
ОтветитьSo she didn't actually make those then...wow so what are people backing exactly?
Everything I have sold in the past I made myself alone just me, am sorry but when I hear they had a manufactur I roll my eyes clearly they didn't make 💩, and before anyone starts I know clothing companys for example have manufacturers and yes I roll my eyes at that too.
If you're going to sell something it should be made by your hands.
If you search her name, Tiffany's salary is public. Another govt employee scamming people...
ОтветитьPledging with Kickstarter is a risk & people need to know that going in. Even if you pledge to a seller who has successfully delivered Kickstarters before, you can still be scammed or they can become incompetent and not deliver even if they have every intention to.
ОтветитьI got my package about two months ago. It was forwarded from my previous address. It had been held in NY morgan processing for over two years. When it showed up i was floored. 😂
ОтветитьI bought something from Etsy pre-pandemic. Only 2 or 3 people actually got what they paid for. Everyone else seems to have been ripped off. Either send the plushies @OvoCrow or refund.
ОтветитьKS could require the creator to post an update every 30 days until fulfillment has completed or the funds will be recovered and refunded to the best of tbeir ability (including court). KS isn't liable for a creator bailing, but they could do more to facilitate trust so more people back projects. I quit using it years ago, got burned about 75% of the time.
Ответитьtalking about this....Look into Robaato, this artist had a game and other stuff that never got delivered.
ОтветитьWhat kind of mic is that you’re using? I’m shocked that it doesn’t pick up all the noise from how often you grabbed at it ! I’d love to know
ОтветитьThe pillow is still listed on their site 😮
ОтветитьI recently found your channel and really enjoy it! I dunno if you speed your videos up (if you don’t and you actually can speak so fast that’s impressive!) but I just wanted to tell you that your voice sounds so good at 0.75 speed and that’s how I watch your channel while drawing.
ОтветитьThere was another scammer kickstarter that i funded. "The art of aqualumina..." over 50,000USD and no update. So unfortunate
ОтветитьOmfg I didn't realize I dodged such a HUGE bullet!!! I actually got a sticker sheet (never got it obviously) from this campaign and was debating on buying a plush but didn't! Thank God I didn't omg
ОтветитьOh.... I remember the announcement of this series.. The uterus and neuron one especially seemed to be popular. I remember commenting "cool, finally an uterus I can punch back!"
It's been a scam, huh. Sad. =/
If they were shipped from China, were they even the plushies they funded? (I have a suspicious mind!)
ОтветитьFirst video of yours i have seen, i like the channel name! I also like the tea this is my kind of content.
ОтветитьSaw this in my recommended and remembered that Kickstarter was still a thing. Frist i ever heard if kickstarter was a bunch of those mmorpgs that were funded and never released
ОтветитьToo bad that this ended up being a scam, the plushes are adorable
ОтветитьDamn they look so cute. It’s have been better if she just released patterns for people to purchase
ОтветитьI like that the uterus is angry lol
ОтветитьGoing through something VERY similar at the moment. An artist by the name of Sciquatic has scammed people, including myself; out of Kickstarter reward plushies we’ve been waiting 2 years for. The end total of the Kickstarter campaign was around $15,000.
ОтветитьIt's so wild to me that they would risk a successful account (based on how many people backed this) just to scam a few bucks. They could have made so much more if they'd only been honest.
ОтветитьThis is something that happens quite often. I'm really only involved with comic book kickstarters, but there are a number that fund at multiples of their goal and never deliver. Rob Liefeld is 9 years late. Jayson Pearson died before fulfilling his and was still five years late. Others have published through major publishing companies during the campaigns, and funded books arrive months after publishers put the books out on shelves.
ОтветитьAt that point my feelings about the plushies would be completely soured and i wouldnt even want them anymore
Ответить
