Loved Smugglers run , me and a buddy would spend alot of time doing bounties and just driving aimlessly,

It's really hard to contextualize that a company could release three games in a year and we might not care because we were in high school doing homework instead of watching TV and never saw a commercial for it, or just because we were broke and it all costs money.
I remember seeing the x-play episode for Shadow of Rome and being really really into it, but I could never find a copy at a store so I never played it.

This is the closest ive ever seen anyone get to talking about Gadget Racers for PS2

Rogue galaxy. Dammnn I've been playing it on ps5 I hope they remake this game someday. Bit for now I will make platinum on the HD remaster.

Do you think maybe you'd like to highlight some "unique" gamers from the PlayStation 2 era? By "unique" I mean games with original or just stand-out design, art style, worldbuilding etc.?

I'm thinking of games like Okami and Shadow of the Colossus but also games like Metal Gear Solid 3 in how it adapted it's old stealth gameplay for a completely different environment - things like that, "special" games!

As for licensed games... Van Helsing the movie tie in game was much more memorable than the movie itself. Also when you unlock the elephant rifle you can plow through the entire game in a spray of orbs casually in less than 45min

Road Trip Adventure was definitely one of my favourite games growing up! Loved my kart racers and Gran Turismo but the adventure side of this game kept me coming back multiple times

Darn, was hoping for a mention about Motorseige: Warriors of Primetime. It’s basically Twisted Metal but with hovercars and the champion is a cryogenically frozen jackass named Frankenstein constantly freezing himself between championships to stay in peak shape.

You can't believe how happy I am to see someone talk about Shadow of Rome. I love the game and I play It every year religiously and I felt like a mad man talking about it with friends and absolutely no one knows this amazing game

Lost frontier isn't an hidden gem, he's just not a gem at all. A real hidden gem game is something like Smash Cars.
