Where is the scarcity=apocalypse and inevitable decline arise from? Corrupt schooling, I believe. 25 years ago and into the 2,000s, Vampire Tales and romance competed or replaced Harry Potter mania. Then it changed with “The Hunger Games” — and since then, the horrors of class oppression and scarcity and apocalypse has surged, replacing both of the older pop culture trends. In public debates, I think the past 10 years, especially the recent second half, has seen a hostile, nihilistic takeover — burbling up in a ready audience for the wildly miseducated young to join Extinction Rebellion, based on false models. Propaganda works on the captured young!
