Becky Calzada, Jonathan Hunt and Kathy Lester | Information Gone Wild (Full Episode)

Becky Calzada is the 2024-2025 President of the American Association of School Librarians and the first Latina to hold this post. She is the district library coordinator of the Leander, Texas Independent School District, and a founding member of Texas FReadom Fighters, which advocates for intellectual freedom and highlights the positive work of school librarians. People Magazine included Becky in its 2023 list of “Women Changing the World.”

Jonathan Hunt is the Library Media Services Coordinator for the San Diego County Office of Education in California. In this role, Jonathan supports 42 local school districts in their efforts to improve library programs and services. He’s a former middle school teacher, and has a passion for children’s and young adult literature.

Kathy Lester is a retired middle school librarian in Michigan who teaches school and youth librarianship classes at Wayne State University's School of Information. Kathy was the 2022-2023 president of the American Association of School Librarians.
