Of course this is a subjective opinion of yours. Grounless and with no serious arguements at all, though. Athens were truly authentic Olympics in a human scale, with the less possible commecialism.

The Olympics in Athens were the best ever!!! Olympic Games should be hosted every time by Greece, the country that born them!!!

The opening ceremony of the Sydney games were for me the best. Totally agree with Samaranch that they were the best games ever!

Athens was good, but i would still have to say Sydney was absolutely amazing...and it was said by former IOC president at the closing cermonies "The best olympic games ever"....it has never been said before :)

So much debate by wonderful people on what is the best Olympics so far but I just want to say the best time the city can have is when we are visited by the wonderful people of the world. In Sydney we had the best fun and loved having so many wonderful people to have fun with. Love the Olympics.

Realmente los 03 ultimos han sido espectaculares, sin embargo, a mi juicio, los peores han sido los 02 realizados en la que hacen llamar la nación mas poderosa del mundo, es decir: Los Angeles 1984 y Atlanta 1996 (Un desastre el pebetero). The best open ceremony has been Beijing 2008, and secondly the Sydney one.

Oh man!..I remember this....I was still in high school then, I was watching far away in the south seas, live on telly, but not after I ran away from home and to my friends place, who happened to have a tv set....this was my first Olympic opening ceremony!..we enjoyed the live broadcast!, sharing one can warm coke.....behind us were a group of drag queens, who also happened to be there....surely the olympics brings people together

I really loved the Sydney Opening and Closing ceremonies, maybe because I was 10 and its the first games I can really remember well, although I think that the closing ceremony was filled with mostly in-jokes for the Australians ;)
