I remember watching him take a free kick against Algeria national team at the National Stadium in 1993 in a World Cup qualifying match. He lobbed the ball over a 7 man defensive the wall, to the far right angle of the goal post. The Algerian goal keeper was caught flat footed. After the ball sailed into the back of the net, the reaction of the goalkeeper is what I have not forgotten 30 years later. He stood motion less still looking at Okocha as other Nigerian players ran to Okocha to celebrate. It was an Algerian defender who went to retrieve the ball from the back of the net, while the mesmerized Algerian goalie was still looking at Jay Jay in disbelief.
