you should start a series going into real people's homes and make an impact in 48 hours. Love to see it.
ОтветитьWatching as I purge 😂 thank you!
ОтветитьLove seeing the different methods and getting ideas. Thank you!
ОтветитьBooks by Julia Rothman! My daughter received that book 5 years ago when she was 5 and still reaching for this book!!
You got me inspired to do some deeper decluttering
Great video, really enjoyed it. Love the discussion of the boxset box and the armrest covers - those are the type of things that hang me up but you’re right, they’re superfluous!
ОтветитьYour videos are SO motivating, way more than other decluttering, minimalist videos I've watched.
ОтветитьI love seeing other people use Thrive Market! That company has so far only gotten better over the years!
ОтветитьI just discovered your channel this week and have been binge watching (and subscribed of course!) I always get the itch to do a whole house declutter this time of year to prepare for Christmas, thanks for the motivation 🙌🏻
ОтветитьGreat video! ❤ this is so motivating.
ОтветитьThanks for this video I really enjoyed it, so lovely to see a minimalist mama and her children doing all the normal stuff, I feel seen! I really like the storage/ organisation on your closet door- so clever!
Trash therapy is great, it always helps me feel like I can keep moving forward. We have all just been sick with norovirus and I was really motivated to keep decluttering and simplifying to make our home easier to clean and manage. When I found Dana K White and her No Mess Method it really changed things for me so that I could actually act and keep spaces declutterred. It’s made me much more intentional and I love that whenever you get interrupted/ life happens/ nappy changes you’ve always made progress and never a bigger mess! Hooray 🥳
‘You can keep it for your baby’ so sweet! I love trying to challenge myself to get my children involved because it helps them too.
I recently decluttered my children's toys and found that after emptying 3 of the IKEA TROFAST boxes, my kids started using them as hiding spots and for play. With fewer toys in their room, I noticed they gravitated towards the books more often, even my one-and-a-half-year-old. My older child developed an interest in animal figures, so I bought more for "educational purposes". However, I've observed that he doesn't play with them as much as he did when he only had a few.
This is such a great video, I will surely binge the rest of them! 😊
I love these videos they have been so helpful. I am pregnant with my second child and once that nesting phase set it I looked around our house and couldn’t figure out why we had so much junk. Our house felt so overwhelming to clean because it was clean but cluttered. It’s great to have actual ways to tackle it because when I started I did the overhaul and it just made a huge mess and it was a challenge to get back at it.
ОтветитьHey, new sub here! Glad I found you 😊
ОтветитьOff topic, but what jeans are you wearing in the first section of the video? So cute!
ОтветитьI watched your toy decluttering video and it finally gave me the permission I needed to go through my six year old daughter's toys. I did not think we had a hoard of toys but i got rid of SIX trash bags of toys. The most shocking part, she has not missed anything! She is usually very observant (when you don't want her to be!) But she truly did not miss anything! It is amazing watching her pick up right away instead of being overwhelmed! Thanks for taking the fear out of decluttering toys!
ОтветитьWhat a great challenge that also teaches decluttering skills! Maybe a challenge to run yearly?
ОтветитьReally inspired by your video and it gives me new motivation to go a little deeper in our house! I appreciate the videos you share and the insight to decluttering more!
One thing I'd like to comment on in a constructive way: I'm sure you are probably trying to have your video fit in a certain time frame, however the speed in which you share the information goes a bit too fast to really absorb it. Dealing with an already overwhelmed state of mind (due largely to a cluttered life!) it can make what you are sharing just bounce around in the head more and harder to grasp. I may be the only one dealing with this difficulty, but in case others are too, it would be much appreciated if you slowed down a smidge!
💖
Love it! Going to try to tackle this next week after the holiday, it would feel good to go into the Christmas craziness a little less overwhelmed at home. I probably wont take the time to count, although maybe because that does seem satisfying!
ОтветитьI like how you used a different method each day. It shows that there are so many different paths to achieving the same outcome, and that one can use whatever fits their life season right now, or all of them as you just did.
ОтветитьCurrently 7 weeks postpartum, and I have been decluttering my house like crazy!!! Thank you for your timely videos and motivation. ❤
ОтветитьSilly question but why do Americans wear baseball hats indoors? It doesn't compute with the European mind 😅 nice work though!
Ответить💖💖💖
Ответить..😊
ОтветитьWe are fortunate here in NYC to have textile recycling at our green markets. If you have a bunch of clothes, shoes, random fabric things (like those chair covers), you can drop them off at the textile station. 😊
ОтветитьInspiring!
ОтветитьMy issue with the no mess method is if I leave the area, there are 1,000 to distracting me and I never end up returning
ОтветитьGood work!
ОтветитьHi! Could you show your piles of trash, etc.? Visuals are rewarding 😊
Ответитьnew subscriber always looking for motivation with decluttering. Ive been on this journey over on my channel too!! love seeing another mom on the same journey. so many good tips! Thank you!! going to try the 12, 12, 12.
ОтветитьI really enjoy your thorough and clear explanations of your methods used. I appreciate the time and dedication it takes you to research these yourself to present, your knowledge is incredible and the way you present is honest and explicit. Thank you, very encouraging and motivating 🙏🏼🫶🏼
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video! I really liked that you provided a plan to declutter. Most decluttering videos just show before and after(s) without explaining a path to get there in an organized way. I liked that you included techniques from Dana K. White, James Clear, and even the Pomodoro method because they really work if we implement them. ❤
ОтветитьI would totally have repurposed that cute book holder.. Throwing away things that still have useful life left feels gross, and wasteful. At the very least it would go into the donate pile, sans books but it could still be useful to someone else as a desk organiser, etc. Having things end up in landfills is a big no no to me. I see your struggle but we also have a care to be mindful of environmental impact. I guess we all choose our struggles, don't we? 😕
ОтветитьItems like the chair covers; if they are made of cloth; please donate to ur nearby animal shelters. They need as much as possible; especially for pups and if they r thicker, will help with staying warm too
ОтветитьBrilliant video, this is so helpful. I bought something yesterday, why do i feel so guilty of this purchase when i have decluttered so much in the last 5 years? Hugs and prayers xxxxxxxxxxx
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьI really appreciate that you are calm, casual and down to Earth, and that you are showing the process realistically and that you share common problems we encounter with decluttering, it's not a one and done type of job, it needs to be maintained more frequently than we expected.
Side rant, I don't mind Clutterbug Cass' upbeat personality and silliness because she's actually naturally quirky and funny whereas in so many channels for women there is a forced, obnoxious and fake quirkiness and "yaas girl" or "yaas queen" and talking while sipping and chewing along with constant tangents type of show put on or the whisper talking, humble bragging picture perfect home and boring aesthetic ones...social media seems to be flooded with copy paste stuff like that so it's even more special to come across a video that is not like that.
Armchair arm covers are invaluable!!! You'll regret tossing them when you have to recover your chairs, believe me! You can handstitch them on to stop them working off.
ОтветитьI love how your videos are so authentic and not tryin to be perfectly aesthetic!! its so refreshing!
ОтветитьI liked the drawers under the clothes in your closet. Where did you get those drawers?
ОтветитьGood presentation!
Good editing!
Next time add a nice background music.
Good job Madam
Here is a new subscriber from India
NAMASTE 🙏
Excellent video, & I’ve watched a million!
ОтветитьForgive me if you have done a video about this before I’m
New here and I have one question how do you have time to read research and create your videos and live slow? I have 2 under 4 and I can barely find time to eat. Trying to fix our home and routines but please share your secrets 💞🫶🏼
I'm using black trash bags (don't remember where I heard that tip) to dispose of my mom's unneeded stuff now that she has moved into a care home. Most is being donated, but I don't want to second guess myself so out of sight, out of mind. Once I've decided to donate something, BYE!!!
ОтветитьWhere did you get those fold out couch/bed cushions?!?
Ответитьidk, I don't like this endless cycle of buying and buying and buying, then being proud of how many clutter/trash can be found. Buy new things and start again. The money could be used for so many good social projects instead 😥
Ответить@papertownhome you could do digital declutter to finish!
