There is really only one way to accurately trigger drum samples in your mixes, and to my surprise so many people skip this song. Get this right and your drum sound will improve dramatically when mixing with drum samples in your songs!

I use Steven Slate Trigger for my sample replacement tool when doing drum mixing, regardless to the genre of the song that I'am mixing. Massey DRT is another crucial tool in my process, but some DAWs have solutions that may eliminate the need for this plugin.
