The companies push against each other for a fact. Wwe schedules their major shit in many of the cities that aew tries to schedule theirs. Competition isn't fiction. They REALLY ARE competing against each other. The wrestlers can still be friends in each company. That's irrelevant

bcuz of favoritism that ppl show for one company like WWE and be completely one sided and completely bias towards others like TNA, that's what always bother me.
WWE fanbase making up narratives and saying anything to belittle everyone else just to prop up WWE as if that's the end all be all. as if we don't deserve to have alternatives and then play the vitcom whenever someone calls them out. i fell out of love for wrestling bcuz of WWE but fell back in love with wrestling when i switch to TNA. WWE and AEW's universe and sickos are the embodiment of tribalism. WWE fanbase are also hypocritical too.

Fans see wrestlers as competitors. The wrestlers see themselves as collaborators. Better competition between brands opens potential for better collaborations.

WWE fans are the biggest culprits.

As someone who tends to predominantly watch WWE, I've never quite understood the tribalism aspect. It's a bit on the stupid side in my opinion. More promotions that are doing well means more opportunities for the wrestlers to do what they love and also to do it well. For example, although I'm not watching it, I'm very happy that Ricochet is in AEW as he's being used well over there ... unlike what was happening in WWE. Can we not just be happy that the industry is probably the healthiest it's been in most of our lifetimes?

I’m a huge wrestling fan and I hate wrestling fans. So many people suck the fun out of it. I could love a match and be told non stop it’s bad. Or love a wrestler and everyone says they suck. As a fan don’t take it to serious cause at the end of the day we’re all watching dudes in tights do flips

Tribalism came from a large group of AEW fans at the beginning of there start, down talking WWE and when WWE showed up they pulled the “why are you guys doing this, it’s just wrestling” card. It was started from one side. But it don’t make it right

I’ll never understand why fans want companies to fail. I want there to be multiple, well funded promotions so that as many performers can get paid handsomely to do what they love. No single company has the television time or money to employ everyone.

Tribalism exists because of Tony Khan, he created it, he makes comments all the time, taking shots at WWE, and his wrestlers have mentioned WWE way more on TV than the other way around. 🤦🤦

While I appreciate her insider perspective on things, you 110% know this isn't true for AEW. Tony Khan and his writing team despise WWE - they never spare a chance to badmouth 'em.

I think it largely has to do with Vince McMahon and the toxic competitive environment he created and sold to the fans for so many decades. Hopefully in time this will become less of a big deal for fans the longer that his influence on wrestling has been gone.
