oh man Evan ! I bet that pepperoni is fantastic !.... the thing people don't realise is how much better pork products taste when you raised the Pig ! all they sell in the grocery store is slop fed pig meat and you can taste the slop in the meat ! but raising your own and only giving them grain and left overs from the garden and table scraps they will be so good you won't want beef again ! LOL the best sausage I ever had in my life came from a home raised hog that the butcher that processed the hog made into a german spice sausage
I made hamburgers out of some of it nothing but a bit of miracle whip and the meat man that was good !!!
You should consider getting a chamber vac sealler.. the bags you are getting for your food savor are very high priced.. you can also do liquids with a chamber vac which you cannot with a food savor I love our chamber vac
Ответитьyou should check out a chamber vav...does super great snf the bags are very low cosr compared to what you are using and you can vaccumn seal liquids
ОтветитьUhmm, those last 12 seconds.... AWKWARD!!! 😂
ОтветитьKielbasa sounds a pretty familiar to me because I am living in Poland 🙂 Great job Rebbeca and Evan. Bon appetit 👍
ОтветитьDude! You're eating something you used to feed! Think about that for just a minute.
ОтветитьGreat video. Good content and explanations. On your way to self-reliance!!
ОтветитьLooks really good. I’ve been making Boston burger for years and really like the flavor. It’s 50% ground pork mixed with 50% lean hamburger. Fine flavor and much more affordable than hamburger. I’ve become a big fan. Your videos are very well done. Keep them coming.
ОтветитьJust got to this video and my mouth waters seeing all that Kielbasa. I slice mine up, brown it in butter, add partially boiled potatoes, scrape the bottom of the pot to cover the potatoes with the crust, and add already cooked green beans and sometimes a little more butter if everything is too dry. I get to eat the leftovers when the girls order Chinese!
ОтветитьHi I am from Brazil. Loved video us. ❤
ОтветитьNice!
Ответитьhang the pepperoni in a very cold room so they can dry do not smoke them changes flavor
ОтветитьYou guys can have your own cooking 🍳show!!! Daddy, in the 40s/50s had a "smoke house" where they hung meat to cure....with salt/sugar I guess....I don't know if they piped smoke in or not...
ОтветитьWatching an old video on the TV of the excess eggs, and the egg noodles in the plastic bags in the cupboards. I always thought that it a food item contained raw eggs, it should be refrigerated, BUT, you guys are still alive so I guess you was right!!!!!
Ответитьtry the trail bologna. it is very good. much better than plain summer sausage.
ОтветитьSliczna kielbasa, trans. from Polish, beautiful kielbasa!!!
ОтветитьI like making sausage also, ex-meat cutter here 17 years of cutting.
ОтветитьMost people wouldn't think of electric water bucket for the animals and most folks would only put one light in the middle of the barn!
ОтветитьTime to get a milk cow and start milking every day....and CHEESE AND BUTTER!!!! Actually mozzarella is very easy...
ОтветитьDo more of this. Love your videos
ОтветитьWhere are the pork chops, Boston butts, and shoulder ham?
ОтветитьThat's breakfast sausage patties
ОтветитьThe pork burgers are the real definition of a ham burger. We have used ground pork for burgers for years until my wife had four way bypass surgery and she can't have that much fat. She can eat lean pork, chicken, turkey, and fish. They told her to leave beef on the hoof.
Ответить👏👏👏👍
ОтветитьGreat job! That all looks amazing.
ОтветитьAlways wanted to know what it would turn out like the Pepperoni. Have a cookbook with the recipe. Awesome might try to find mine. Stay safe & take care of you all. Thanks for sharing eh :))
ОтветитьYummy 😋 inspiring
ОтветитьImpressive job today. You are a “Jack of all trades.”
ОтветитьGreat job! All that food looks really good. One of my favorite things is processing food and putting it in the freezer.
ОтветитьWhat kind of Vacum Packer do you have?
ОтветитьWow! That all looks so good and I'll bet it tastes better than anything you could buy in the supermarket. My wife has "the bug" now and is looking at getting a sausage stuffing machine. I also want to try to make bacon, especially after watching your video on that.
ОтветитьLooks delicious!
ОтветитьLooks like BBQ-season can begin... 😉
Thanks for the video! 😊👍🏻
Good job, you won't have to go to the store to get meat that you won't know what you are purchasing.
ОтветитьWhy do you "band" (to castrate)? Imagine your gonads banded for several days/weeks? Why not just get a vet to do it HUMANELY?
ОтветитьI haven't seen but one or two cats. Cats can be very useful for keeping the snakes and rats 🐀population in check...the animal shelter always has cats available...
ОтветитьSo much scrap metal.....I saw where you made the magnet 🧲to pick up the scrap metal....how much $ did the scrap metal bring in...
ОтветитьYou are so good at these videos....do you ever make cue cards to remind you of all you want to talk about...
ОтветитьI watch the videos randomly, in no particular order, but was watching the one where you had about 20 or so chickens. I figure you give surplus to your friends and family, but you could also establish regular buyers for extra eggs 🥚....lots of people want fresh eggs....but you know all that....
ОтветитьI love me some Kielbasa.
ОтветитьI would slice up the entire link, and eat it while watching Evan and Rebecca on Country View Acres.
ОтветитьYou 2 are living what homesteaders and self substainers are trying to do. You're doing your wife proud Evan. I will bring the beer and wine you provide the sides!!!
ОтветитьVery nice to have on hand for Summer cook-outs.
ОтветитьYou just gotta love a man who's comfortable in the kitchen and is committed to keep things healthy and natural . You really look like you enjoy your little homestead and all it can offer you and your family. You get a 🏆❣️🏅 and a medal. I'm sure you have a wife who appreciates you a lot...and vice versa 👍👌❣️❣️❣️😃
ОтветитьI'm hungry
ОтветитьAlso, ground pork is great for sausage gravy!! (biscuits)
ОтветитьThat ground pork looked real nice!🐖 Great job!
ОтветитьThat will make some nice grilling this summer ! Nice job , Shawn from Ohio
ОтветитьPepperoni (Salami) will harden up with a bit of air drying or curing. The proper casing is air permeable to allow aging/drying
