The Real Story of Thanksgiving Was As American As It Gets | Valliant Renegade & Rush Limbaugh

I have watched and listened to this many times over the years. His last one in 2020 is the most overarching telling of it. May we all be worthy of the blessings of this land from almighty God.

I've been sort of "the Mayflower guy" on YT for the last few years, every book I've read has only confirmed that the First Thanksgiving was totally awesome and should be revered.

It's not uncommon for the true meaning of many a holiday being forgotten. Take Valentine's Day for instance. It originally served as day of remembrance for Saint Valentinus, a priest who went against the will of the Roman Emperor, Claudius II, who felt married men made weak soldiers. Valentius instead married couples in secret and this defiance of the Emperor's will among other things ultimately had Valentinus imprisoned and sentenced to death. The man was also said to have performed miracles, such as the healing of a blind girl, adopted by a Roman judge.

Anyway, while awaiting execution, it is said Valentinus wrote letters to his jailor's daughter with the phrase 'From your Valentine', and... it's sad most don't know the real history of this day.

The first Thanksgiving was a Mass done by Catholics; as usual we don't get the credit

WI've drunk in the pub,a pub on the banks of thd Thames now called The Mayflower where lots of those travellers drunk and ate,boarded before making that journey,real.old Tudor,black and white building with ,still,genuine old glass window panes,like on a Christmas card .was nt called The Mayflower when they were there I presume .

I would do almost anything to have two guys back for at least a week: Breitbart and Rush. I would love to hear their thoughts on the last four years and the 2024 election.

I often remember that Rush promised that he would tell us when the nation was lost to us freedom loving people. We dodged that bullet, for now. I also regretted not having his reaction to Trump's victory. Loved the way he would break the facts down. Made me feel smarter just listening.

Rush saved the country... this is not hyperbole. He let conservative ideals flourish and beat back socialism resoundingly. The only one who comes close is Elon Musk and his purchase of Twitter. Two very different men, but both passionate defenders of free speech and entrepreneurship.

I have fond memories of driving home from college and listening to Rush tell the story of Thanksgiving on his Wednesday show. The last few years I've gone to look for it either while driving to Thanksgiving or while making preparations. Thanks for doing this Valiant! This is the reminder we all need.
