No mud on those very fine leather shoes worn by those fine upstanding totally respectable Gardai, this looks like a set-up job with equipment on parade. When my dear father and his young brothers were out in the hills of Clifden making their finest Poitin, no Gardaí were smart or quick enough to catch and steal their property, back in those days Poitin a way of making a few pennies and shillings, a little glass of Poitin was the best doctor medicine around for the people, it cured many ills and was also used to help unwell animals so need expensive vet visits.
