Hi Liz, would this work with a cloche or a portable greenhouse. Or would it best to to wait a little longer.
Happy sowing 😁
👍👍👍
Ответитьgrew money maker last year. i put them out to early in the ground.. as soon as i put bark mulch down and started feeding them tea from the wormery they grew crazy. i had a ridiculous amount of toms. fed the cayennes too and they went crazy. anyone who doesnt have a wormery. get one!
Ответитьthank you Liz xx
ОтветитьHi Liz, you look amazing. I grew too many? Cauliflower and decided I’d freeze them .......... they’re just lovely and I’m still eating it! X
ОтветитьTry German giant radishes they never get pithy.
ОтветитьThankyou for this window into your growing life. Much appreciated and full of info.
ОтветитьYou prompted me to put carrots in - thank you! PS The same thing happened to my broad beans which are my most favourite - didn't happen last year. Last year they did so well - and the over-wintered ones did especially well against blackfly. 2021 ones are scraggly and slug eaten :( Really frustrating - they looked so strong and healthy. Oh well.
ОтветитьI like to get multipacks of seeds, you get six different types of plant seeds in 1 pack and they cost £1 at Poundland!
ОтветитьThe leeks are pronounced
Mussel bura
Bur sounds like the first 3 letters of burrow
I used to live in Musselburgh
I spread ashes from our fire pit around the plants that snails seem to relish... they definitely do not relish the ashes and stay away from those sections completely.
Ответитьno necesitas tener las uñas rojas. !!
ОтветитьA great variety of seeds Liz. You will be busy growing all of them.
ОтветитьThanks Liz for an enjoyable and useful video.
How do you find out which zone you live in?
I live in north east Scotland.
Hi Liz! That was a great video - I am itching to get planting and growing again and you have given me some great ideas. This is only my fourth year working on a few raised beds on my housing estate in Central London but every year the crops get bigger and better. This might seem like a question with an obvious answer but when you say 'if you've got heat' what do you mean? A greenhouse? I tend to start my seedlings off in my sunny bathroom with the heating on and very humid. Does that count as having heat? Hope you can help.
Thanks for the great videos
Brian
Hi! Seeing as cabbage and turnip can be sown, should swede?
ОтветитьWhat is your low temperature?
ОтветитьLove that you share the diff varieties and how u describe the flavors!!💖😁🌿
ОтветитьHere, in central Europe, I am still fighting with snow and trying to clear it from the public pavement in front of my house every day :-) I am getting fitter by the minute! There has been another snowfall today, actually. To be honest, I am really happy to see a normal cold and snowy winter after so many years of temperature slightly above zero and almost no snow at all. Spring must be round the corner, perhaps a distant one, though ;-)
ОтветитьHi Liz. Greetings from Canada. I love your videos. Full of good info and helpful tips, with the feel of a chat over a nice cup of coffee with a friend.
ОтветитьBrilliant vidlog....an entire year later. Thanks Liz~!!
ОтветитьEncouraging as always Dear Liz. Thanks.
ОтветитьThis is the video I’ve been watching each morning this February to get into the gardening spirit 🌱 It’s like my morning garden meditation 🙏🏻😌 Thanks Liz, I started my little veg patch during lockdown 2020. It’s my second year now & I’m learning so much from you & other amazing creators! So excited to get cracking 🥳
ОтветитьWhite radish looks interesting! (obviously there's mooli) but a small pure white round I've not tried before. Not sure I'm starting any seeds this month except to finish of my chilli sowings. Hopefully I'll have room for tomatoes NEXT month.
ОтветитьYou could try pickled cauliflower during winter. It is rather delicious as a side dish. We eat it with stews that have meat.
ОтветитьVery good video Liz looking forward to your next one. Thank you.
ОтветитьFab video Liz, very much appreciate you putting details of seeds in the description 😀
Ответитьseems like your an agent for Amazon....I should have thought we should be encouraging British suppliers, who at least pay TAX!
ОтветитьZone 6 here
ОтветитьExcellent video thx, it is January right now and have already started sowing tomatoes, yellow onions, oberjeans, coliflower and purple radishes all under heat.
I love the victorian greenhouse I built last year and already iching to get growing more in there.
I did a video about the 5mx3m victorian greenhouse build if your interested or got time.
Liz; Always enjoy your gardening videos; thanks for all you do for all of us. I was just confused (at my age, not a unique experience) by your Zone 8b statement. I've understood from Charles Dowding that he's also in that zone, which he says corresponds to the USDA Zone 8b, which I'm in. But my frost dates are 3/15 and 11/15, which suggests the zones are dissimilar across the Atlantic. Can you enlighten me? Thank you.
ОтветитьThe white radishes are not popular with slugs, i grew icecicle radishes last year, they were spicier than the red
ОтветитьThank you , this is a great balance between getting to the point and enough info for a begginer.
ОтветитьHello there, I found you just by chance and am so glad I did, thanking you so much for the information video and hope you and others have not had too bad a time with yesterdays (Friday's - February 2022 high winds), here I am in the southeast of England and it was very bad indeed, we have a number of very high conifer and Christmas trees
that are planned to be trimmed but it was very scary watching them getting blasted by the high winds.
How have you been keeping in these COV-19 times, I pray you have been keeping well?
Thanking you once more and hope to hear from you.
Maureen
I'm rewatching in March 2022 👍🏻
ОтветитьDo you winter sow seeds at all? Thanks.
ОтветитьWe are weeks behind you. Oh the beauty of watching others sowing.
ОтветитьLiz,do some up to date stuff please.
ОтветитьHello sorry but are you sell some vegetables?
ОтветитьHi Liz, another great video thanks for sharing and take care 🙂
ОтветитьNo peas? You can plant them directly as soon as the ground thaws. The maxim in America is "plant peas on George Washington's Day [February 22]." Frigid-fingered pea planting is a tradition!
ОтветитьJust set my jalapenos, habaneros, and Caribbean reds. Everyone does what you are doing and I am thankful for it!
ОтветитьLiz I can't find the list u mentioned? Where is it please?
ОтветитьYum, I have Brussels for brekkies too
With other vege like tomatoes and mushrooms
Also eggYum!
Quick catch up to remind me in case I'm missing anything! Lovely video, I hope you are feeling better x
ОтветитьCelery! Ugh!
ОтветитьI buy seeds like they are out of fashion, now having your video I have bought more :) I will follow your example and sow less but often so hopefully we can sample everything. I have subscribed and really enjoyed your video, entertaining and so many useful tips. Have a great year.
ОтветитьThis is great Liz! I'm in the west-country, quite near another well-known content creator, so I can follow your timings quite happily. It's useful to get another perspective and I really enjoy your no-nonsense approach. Subscribed.
ОтветитьLove your channel, I just found it. Thank you. 😀
