Nintendo's OWN marketing for this game is to "experience the untold story". Why on earth was the story untold? We paid $70 for this story two years ago and didn't get it.

Tears of the Kingdom miserably failed in the story department. We got some badly written and sloppily thrown together snippets of a story almost completely unrelated to the unbelievably threadbare 'story' of the game we were actually playing. It's a bit of a slap in the face asking fans to fork out another $70 just to get the story that we should have already got and experienced in TOTK.

Is this what we get for Zelda now? Tiny little scraps of a story not related to the actions of the player in the main game, with next to nothing going on in the present, only for the story the player should have experienced then being sold later on for the full price of another game with completely different gameplay? How about we actually get proper stories, experienced by the player, in Zelda games again?

If Nintendo have forgotten how to properly incorporate story into Zelda games, they need to figure it out before expecting people to fork out their hard earned money for another game as overwhelmingly narratively deficient as TOTK's was.

Okay so it's abundantly clear that this Hyrule Warriors is canon to the main games.

Will I OWN the hardware atleast

I dread the words "item combining" since it sounds too much like fusion of breakable items to breakable weapons. If we can make without the "breakable" part it might be not so bad. So until I know more details about this, I'll be carefully optimistic.

I hope this game will have open world traversal between battles. For example, instead of having to pick icons from a map or a menu to start a battle, you can walk from the site of one battle to the next. Shops could also have real world representations instead of just icons on a map. Of course, once you access a battle or shop from the open world, the icon would be available from the map from then on. Tears of the Kingdom sort of experimented with this concept in several areas.

I hope the story will be interesting and not take a weird turn like age of calamity did. The original Hyrule Warriors was very interesting and made me want to see Cia and Lana in an official Zelda game one day. Depending on what Nintendo's changes from now to release will affect if I get a Switch 2 or not.

If you cast a transgender to play beautiful Zelda on a film, I will be your eternal enemy Nintendo!! I’m the biggest Zelda fan and if you ruin beautiful princess Zelda, your stick will tank and you will go bankrupt.

Please make this one more like the first Hyrule Warriors with more game modes. That first one with the adventure mode was PEAK
