so you designed an RV that makes it impossible to get to the fridge while in travel mode??? good job dude.
ОтветитьOooh, I’ve been reluctant to upgrade to a 3/4 ton but this might be worth it. Was hoping to stay under 30’ but am I really going to do vintage National Parks anymore at 73? Probably not.
ОтветитьThis looks like a pretty solid unit. I'd love to see a sidewall splash for the interior stove and slam latches on the baggage doors.
ОтветитьSlapped faster than Will Smith at the Oscars lolol 😂
ОтветитьI wish that the extension to the countertop actually was flush with it. The whole point of an extension is to extend the space you're already using😢
ОтветитьLooks nice. I am done with the old latches!!! I will never buy another RV again if it does not have "slam latches", might just be me, but there you go.
Ответитьreplace the sliding bedroom door with a regular door and move bedroom tv to the wall at the foot of the bed
ОтветитьWould prefer a hide-a-bed for guests
ОтветитьNice!!
ОтветитьShe’s a beauty. And the price is right! Excellent tour as usual and thanks to your detail it feels like I’m there.
ОтветитьI think my wife will want to buy this one just for the powered lazy susan ;P
Ответитьanother great trailer all around. ANOTHER great video all around.
ОтветитьFirst thing I said to myself when I saw the pre-video layout, "gotta flip that TV hinge" then at almost 10 min. in... there ya go:) Good stuff!
ОтветитьThis type of TT RV will be my 2nd "third" RV. I'll stick with what my current vehicle can pull - 6k lbs - and keep it at 25' length max. While very nice, this does not strike me as the ideal new-to-RV-camper types.
ОтветитьI like this one, even though my research/shopping process has all brut eliminated travel trailers.
Changes: I would swap the location of the theater seat and TV.
Then, get rid of the dinette and replace it with a 36” standing desk or breakfast counter bar (for my taste, a raw wood edge would be stunning.
The TV moves to the door (its new location) would become a fireplace/televator. That way, the theater seats can have the option of campground views or TV.
Just watched Thunderheart the other night. Thought there was actually a character called Rained In The Face. 🤣
ОтветитьHighly subjective obviously, but I previously owned a 2021 FE and I DO NOT like what they've done with the exterior. Super bland. This now looks like a non-playable character trailer.
ОтветитьNice camper!
ОтветитьJust heard Pete Leigl passed away last night. What does this mean for Forest River?
ОтветитьGreat RV! Thanks Josh for being an inspiration. I prefer the hide a bed instead of a theatre seat to accommodate possible guest. Again great job!
ОтветитьHey Josh, can you get this model without the front window I the bedroom, that is something I DO NOT want in a trailer, I presently have a 2018 204rd and I live it but my dream trailer is this one. It hits everything on my want list.
ОтветитьThank goodness it's not white and black!!! I'd like to see a dream dinette a lil more space between the stove and refrigerator, a pass through bathroom, especially for ease of getting out of bed and accessing it. I do love the layout. But....the thing I LOVE the most about this rv and is one of my nerdism or pet peeves and this rv answers it is the matching paint and decals thru the slide out. I'm telling you, this is what seperates this from other rvs. Tip of the cap to Freedom Express for this!!! Gamechanger and the rest of the industry will eventually follow this trend!
ОтветитьWe own a 2024 274RKS and there is some good stuff here, and some misses. The biggest improvement I see is moving the kitchen sink in front of the window. Heck even your floor plan still shows it in the old location. That angled sink isn't comfortable to use and sits too close to the power tower behind. I also like the new freezer bottom fridge. BTW - we are also hide-a-bed family because our fur baby insists on sitting on the sofa with us in the evening. Her favorite spot is on the back of the sofa looking out that big window. The new steel shelf outside by the griddle is also a huge improvement over the flimsy piece of cardboard on the earlier models; the old one had no support and could barely hold up a cup a coffee.
Misses for us are the new linear lights - what is this, a disco? Although bonus for making them dim as all those puck lights are very bright. Also don't really like that new handrail on the step - it just looks like I would be constantly walking into it. The lazy susan is a really dumb idea. That corner (for us) is where all our appliances sit (the plug is directly above), so we would have to move them every time we wanted to raise it. Stupid way to lose a bunch of precious counter space. You also lose a big chunk of the outside storage (we use that cabinet for all our camp toys and kayak gear). The lighter colour on the entertainment centre is 'meh' - like it better matching the other cabinets. I don't think the swing in the big hidden door is such a great idea either as it will make it difficult to access all that space behind IMO. We can get a lot of stuff in there and you need easy access to somewhere to put it down.
My biggest suggestions would be adding an electrical outlet on the face of the right dinette seat. Right now, if you want to plug something in at the dinette you have to run a cord around under the TV. The main power wire for the entertainment centre runs right through that cabinet behind the drawer, so an easy upgrade (next on my list). Another nice to have would be 12v power in the vent in the bedroom . Without the 2nd air there is only one operable window, so the bedroom gets VERY stuffy at night. I just paid way too much to have my dealer snake 12v power up there and install a Maxxair fan.
Overall our impression after our first season is that we really got it right for our 3rd and hopefully last camper. The storage both inside and out is incredible! The cargo capacity is incredible. It does tow very nicely with my Titan half ton (although I might upgrade to a 3/4 just because it is getting pretty old now).
We absolutely love it but I do not like the tron lights. They aren’t aesthetically pleasing at all. Nope!
ОтветитьFinally the Nerd comes through i asked for this 6 months ago
ОтветитьThanks Nerd. Some awesome improvements to the model. Outside looks amazing.
ОтветитьNo. I like the chairs better than a hideaway.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite floor plans - if not my favorite- just not sure about Coachman - Thank You for the video
ОтветитьThat pop up thing is super groovy. Over all, I think this is very nice. Nuff said.
ОтветитьHey Josh we have a 2021 245rl xplor. Unfortunately we live full time an last year I had to have one of my legs removed.
So now I am a bit stuck. Do we have someone come in an redo the trailer . Which is funny because we had water leaking on the front side near the water heater and such, so the cabinets and floors need to be redone at any point .
When we bought it we were lucky to put down some cash so we weren't too far gone. The water damage happened after the trailer was out of warranty. I have wrote grand design listing the issues we have had. Our fridge no longer gets below 40. So milk and meat, they have get put in the back where it almost freezes. Yeah we got frosting on the cake but there is no cake .
Also alot of campers are no way feasible for someone like me. I can't get my wheel chair to the bedroom. So I sleep in the sofa ( which has more holes and rips than my doggie blankets. I am just so frustrated, I love living in an rv, but I don't know enough folks that can do the work and do it the right way.
What is your suggestion for this ?
1) You can design an RV for me any day.
2) Nice awning, but it would even be cooler if they could’ve made it completely front to back awning.
3) Pretty camper.
4) Spare on the rear would’ve been nice.
5) What’s your opinion? If they would’ve lowered the footsie toaster fireplace as well as the tv and then put the cabinets above the tv instead of on the bottom, wouldn’t that be better? Less of a neck wrecker when watching tv anyway.
37) Nice video.
Definitely want to see RVs made with a backsplash or some kind of easy to clean surfaces around the stove. They must be designed by people that don’t use a stovetop.
ОтветитьBeautiful floor plan! Coachmen has really stepped it up lately. I don't think the refrigerator being blocked by the slide is that big of an issue. If someone needs food or a drink that bad, then invest in a small Yeti cooler, and put it in your tow vehicle.
ОтветитьBIGGER BLACK TANKS!!
ОтветитьFirst, congrats on Nerdism #37 going mainstream! Second, Cousin Garrett gets bonus points of the Monty Python style apologies for missing footage. Now, on to something completely different..
This floor plan is an absolute win! It's hard to articulate what the best parts are, it's the whole everything about it that makes it great. It would be very convenient to pull something out of the oven, turn around and put it on on the counter, and when it's cool enough the carnage may commence from the theater seat. The only thing that would make it better, Coachmen, would be a sidesplash for the fridge! We'd still prefer a theater seat with positional armrest, but if they don't want to give us what we want, well we'll just have to wait for another builder to give it to us.
Thanks for the video, Uncle Josh!
Backup lights, too! Nice looking, trailer. I ❤ LOVE ❤️ the white exterior!
ОтветитьA ceramic double sink would be nice for cleaning my stock pot for when we made clam chowder.
There's 2 windows that don't open, oh oh!
Don't need a special glass washer thing. I would opt for 50 amp service with the second AC. I'll take a table and chairs, I'm good with the population control theater seats. I'm good with the road mode as bathroom access in road mode is all I look for. Really like the big storage spaces outside. If the window in the hall was gone, a hinged door could be installed for the bedroom and the TV mount could be on the correct wall. Or they could put in a TRUE pocket door. That is a minor thing for most, it's actually a deal breaker for me and my wife.
ОтветитьThe fridge in rd mode is a down fall overall we like it what about moving fridge over by seating extending the counter top and hat way.
ОтветитьLove the utensil drawers!! Love the layout. I would love to own this RV!
ОтветитьCongrats on the U tensil drawer adoption… just goes to show if you say it enough, your dreams can become reality. 😆 On a serious note though, happy to see the new look and decor. We had a couple of FE’s and really liked them but since about 2019 just have had no love for the exterior nor interior’s. Glad to see this new change of course. Well done
ОтветитьWell…now I finally heard someone else use the term waffle stomp. I had to explain this to a group of campers recently.
ОтветитьTop of our list I love this floorplan. Just wish they would give you a bit more space between the bed and the bathroom wall. Some brands are starting to do that.
ОтветитьThis is a real nice set up!!!!
Ответить
