Don't hold your breath waiting for $250, this has to go through parliament before anyone gets anything.

Basically not much at all. Just another tactic from Trudeau and Liberal party, try to buy you vote for next election.

Hopefully none of this passes and the government won’t have to borrow more money that will have to be paid back with interest.

After ruining the entire country in just a decade. The suspects bribe you in freebies hoping you will forgive and forget about the past. This is like beating up a person and trying to make up for it by buying them a coffee. Insult has been done, you can’t rectify it.

It means absolutely nothing. For two months, it will mean slightly smaller receipt as the space will not be used for the GST marker. It will change the price of nothing. Prices are already inflated and bloated for the Christmas rush. Pennies mean nothing in a $100 bill world.

Means nothing to me. He is reducing the costs of "essentials" like meals out, toys and booze while keeping prices high on non-essentials like housing, utilities and gasline. Turdeau is a joke!

$250 cheque is the perfect amount to pay the Christmas shopping credit card bills due in January and February because 2 months no taxes on Christmas gifts and restaurant meals should be $250 per family , right ?😂😂 Taxpayers are amazed how accurate in mathematical calculations from the Federal Liberals MPs in their calculated vote buying equation! 😂😂😂 Taxpayers are often surprised in each of the vote buying spending news ....

Government Reform Now, Government set prices at every store when Taxpayers funded all new eco friends at loblaws and in return profiteering tyranny from all, including employer's Justinflation Trudemic Jagmeet Sinn and the witch Brown Town Ford meth. fiscal responsibility has alluded all Government in Canada, ignorance by any other name is still tyranny, nothing yet has balanced it's self ever. Government Reform Now never allow tyrannical behaviors again. hold all Government to account now.

This is nothing more than trying to save face for the carbon tax. Instead of trying to eliminate that, Trudeau is lowering the GST. This plan is also only going to cause an increase in inflation, especially if Trudeau decides to extend it in Feb. It's like they didn't learn anything from the huge COVID spending. Say goodbye to the rate cuts.

We are so complacent.
I live in Calgary and just shopped yesterday at Walmart for a family of five.
First off no luxurious buys here just typical weeks worth of survival food.
We spent $300.00.
Gst on that bill $2.86.
So what this shows is that most groceries are already exempt.
So if i spend the same every week for 1 month that is $1200.00 I save $11.44 with the GST holiday.
On food that is already inflated due to the carbon tax and about to get worse when the tax goes up in April.
This does nothing for anyone

Seniors get nothing and anyone making up to % 149,000 gets $250. Some get carbon rebate in March and ALL get an April Fools carbon tax INCREASE. 30 Million Canadians will pay an extra 300 DOLLAR tax increase to allow 18 Million Canadians to get a $ 250 check...and 5 CENTS off a bag of chips.

So some people are getting a cheque that will barely cover a weeks worth of food, if you are a family. We will probably end up owing a large sum of interest on these payouts, as usual. There is a break on GST for a few months which only covers savings on wants and not needs. Then we will have a 19% carbon tax increase just as our GST is reinstated. One can’t help but wonder if the liberals are trying to use the GST as cover for their carbon tax increase.

BAD NEWS!! The GST break means $6.3-BILLION dollars added to the national debt & interest on that debt!

It means Canadians WILL BE replacing the Tax money the government is losing due to Trudeau’s GST ELECTION VOTE BUYING!

Trudeau the worst disaster for Canada. Canada was a great country with Harper in 2013. Canada had zero deficit and Canadian money was equal to US money.

The GST break and the $250 are the insult to Canadians. If it is not because of the reckless policies of the lieberals, Canadians would not need any insult from this government.
