Just watched part 1 which was mildly entertaining.

I'm not really caring for this one. The main actor looks like she's in pain most of the show. And what are the chances of the same thing happening to her daughter like they happened to her? And how on earth did her daughter not know of her own mom being accused 4 years ago? She would have been 13/14 how did that 13/14 year old not notice? It's no wonder her daughter is distant. This show makes it look like the mom didn't talk to her own daughter. The daughter continuously lies to her mother and doesn't tell her the whole truth/story. I'd tell me kid at this point if you don't start talking to me, you'll have to suffer the consequences of it. And, where on earth was she keeping that knife while they was talking on the beach.

why did they change the daughter's race?

The dad was trash for not being there for his daughter. Most father's would want to be there for thier daughter if they were facing prison charges. I wish we could have seen the friend mom reaction to her daughter being guilty. She acted like her daughter was better.

I really dislike the first character. In both movies, she starts off very passively and then only does something after being slapped in the face a few times. In the second movie, it's even worse. She lets her teenage daughter take most of those slaps before finally doing the right thing. It's good to wake up eventually, but for someone who's been there before and still needs to be shaken to start fighting, it's disgusting.

But it was fun to watch both.

I'm 12 minutes in and I'm not wasting my time. The mother is now and attorney and is acting as ignorant as she was when she was arrested.

Wow perfectly executed ..I loved both part 1 and 2.....Plainview and Plainview has an amazing ring to it. Now if the producers could just do episodes that we all can enjoy on a regular.
