Finally, a review that tells me whether or not the clear view case has a magnet or not, and surprise surprise, it doesn't..

When will Samsung learn? I was severely disappointed when the same case on my S20 Ultra didn't have the magnet, because as you mentioned, it does not help if the phone is dropped. Might start looking around for other wallet cases for when I get the S23 Ultra.
