Such an interesting game on a system that was definitely 'not' successful. You sure can see it took many cues from AitD, but with a distinctly Japanese flavour. PC-FX doesn't have that many games (a bit over 60 I believe) and this one is quite unique on the system, but there are more games in other genres. As for Alone in the Dark itself, I'd argue the first one is alright, but kinda clunky indeed. The best ones in my opinion are the first one and Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (the 4th game; that one is 'very much' like Resident Evil - great atmosphere in my opinion; those are the two I'd recommend).
