How many months in total would you say it took you to prepare for the move?

im much older than you but i too moved from Rosedale Ny, I went thru a bad divorce and wanted to start over. I moved to Houston and its the best move Ive ever done. If you're black this is the city for you. I could go on but just know you made the right decision.

I moved to Houston 4 mos ago and I’m still adjusting. I have a 14 yr old son who came with me and he loves it here. My job transferred me. It’s been okay just lonely. How have you been dealing with living here.

I am from NY & I am looking forward to moving as well. I like the North side of Houston.

I’m not telling anybody at all. I rather move in silence & that’s the best way to do.

I just moved to Houston December 27th with my son and my dog. I am currently living with a friend but I am ready to move into a place. I don’t have a job yet but I am trying not to get discouraged by how many rejections I keep receiving. God is positioning me in a place of rest and the only thing I have been able to do successfully is enroll my son in school. Today is his first day and also the first day I can move around to find a job and place in person.

Im born and raised in Fort Pierce Florida and for the last several years something has been nagging my soul to move away and try another city or place, I want to try Houston but i have no family there but i really want to just up and leave. You give me hope ❣️

"...Texas is a very hot state." Most of it is, especially Houston. For that to be true stay out of the panhamdle in the winter. It gets cold there too.

I want to move too, but NOT to Texas. Everyone moves to Houston. A few years ago everyone moved to Atlanta. Now Atlanta is overcrowded and the cost of living went through the roof. And now it is Texas and I am not even going to mention the traffic. But, I wish the best for all who moves.

Thinking about moving there but don’t know where to start!

Me n my son been in TN for 19 years I been ready because I was outburnt by the people around me I knew i needed change when I travel n I saw a different n I was addicted to see different things. But houston is our move I'm praying everyday I don't plan on telling my friends or anyone close to me because folks love changing your mind

I moved from Houston to Atlanta ( before that Dallas Kentucky dc md Ohio etc ) so didn’t have base but I miss Houston soooooo much loved everything about it except the job problems with the Spanish dominions and was hard to get a job for me actually didn’t even get one. I miss it loved it and Georgia is not bad at all I got a job.. also buckhead is great similar to Houston so yeah enjoy my favorite city
