With how often you work on cars you might want to consider buying a smoke machine. You can get an Ancel 3000 for ~$150.

Both cops let you off pretty easily - you were definitely lucky with both of them, and it could have been a lot worse! Hope you have better luck tracking down the issues with the car and getting them fixed. Don't want this to turn into another 3000 GT VR4!

Give the pvc valve a 👀…might be worth replacing either way.
