Best Match for me was Six Vs MKJavier. HoneyBee vs Kanimani was also fire, and I thought HoneyBee would be chosen as Team Captain considering the way he performed. I have also never seen Dyloch being whooped this way before. Did Kani just expose Dyloch?? lol

That last game is a grade A performance on how to abuse one button on a single character and why shao could not be top tier no matter who is playing him. MK1 feels like a poke-fest in some matches. Those matches are boring to watch and infuriating to play. Rano can go to hell

It would be dope if these 8v8 were ran like how smash does it…

Player 1 vs player 2 first to 3 ..
Player 1 wins 3 - 2 and stays on the controller..
Player 1 vs player 3 but player 1 is down two ..games meaning that player 3 only has to win one set to take player 1 out..Repeat until the end of the tournament..Probably has been ran like this before and it’ll be more work for the TOs but that’d be dope

I don't really get the idea, of picking a loyalist for tht tie breaker. However good he might b, if he got figured out it's basicly over. Just take as example the countless finals that dragon has lost to sonic fox for this exact reason. So often have we seen him steamrolling tournaments until he gets a lead in the final, but sonic fox switches character and it's over. U can't depend a teams fate on someone who could b rendered helpless by a character switch. That's dumb strategy.
Given the default advantage the na had with the tie breaker hosted by their side , it shouldn't have been such a cooking at the end, i think. If they told destroyer to choose, that's kinda on him. On the other hand they had the chance to decide differently n weazled out of the responsability.

So Raiden’s stormcell was nerfed in terms of chip and can now be jumped but it still builds a ton of meter!

Absolutely incredible event! The NA players surprised the hell outta me (especially Six). I was expecting another 5-3 or 6-2 for EU. One thing I would like to see though would be a tie breaker that involves the team rather than just boiling down to who has the best player. Maybe take the players who went 2-0 in their sets and have them play an elimination style tourney. Or do one final 8v8 where players get just 1 or 2 lives and first to eliminate the others wins. Anyway I definitely hope to see a season 2!
