everyone is under the impression that the second one is the best but i rewatched the third recently and it’s actually the best movie in existence. the theatrical release budget was actually insane and seeing it in theaters as a 5yo was just as life changing as when i watched it as a 21 yo

High-school musical 2 is objectively the best (except for the slightly racist song that they cut from the version on Disney plus lmao)

It’s so funny too that Kelsey and Ryan end up together in the last movie when Kelsey is so lesbian coded and Ryan is obviously gay.

And I love that I thought I was the only one growing up that was weirdly drawn to/obsessed with Kelsey but then I saw this post that was like “if these are your favorite characters from these movies when you were little you are a lesbian now” and it was Kelsey from HSM and Alice from twilight and I forgot the two other characters they said but all of them were dead on accurate for me and I just sat there staring at the post mouth open in shock for like a minute lmao
