Friedman? Hard core Zionist. He is wrong, break down the data of progressive voters. It's not certain community. It all about Democrats ' Israel first policy'.

How many conservatives regret that the Senate didn’t convict Trump in his impeachment hearings. Party over Country. The start of the downfall of our Constitutional Republic.

The interviewer is TERRIBLE. Saying that the side that lost was "delusional" is an unprofessional, ignorant (of statistics, polling and politics) and kindof insane take. She seems to take the ex post facto outcome of the election as always-determined, and then go back and criticize a political party for trying to win. That's insane. (I don't mean to straw man her argument - if she was saying something different, it was not communicated to me).

Trump's endurance can be summed up by his quasi-religious appeal. It doesn't matter how many lies he's told, how many laws he's broken, or how much bigotry he shows, his followers feel existential threats from every corner and their fears are answered with fire and brimstone that would surely impress preachers from another age. He cuts through the mucky muck of a thousand voices and his ascent to saviorhood is assured. It's remarkable the human propensity to assuage fear of the unknown.

Thomas Friedman positions himself as a global influencer, despite holding no official role, particularly in relation to the Middle East—a region plagued by a century of conflict and suffering. Millions of Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims have endured genocide, ethnic cleansing, and subjugation, stripped of their land and rights.

Thomas Friedman is a Democrat who's backed all the policies that have, in the last 4 years, led to the majority of Americans rejecting: open borders, energy depletion, massive wasteful spending, foreign policy failures, woke culture & the corruption-weaponization of government on political opponents!

I don't think any discussion of US politics is complete without recognizing the strength of partisan, particularly right wing, media. The majority of Trump voters have been propagandized into disbelieving their own eyes, and the left has been led to believe that people are rational rather than tribal.

Typical mainstream media guy. Years of biased media in America has been offset by podcasts both on the left and right. Believe it or not Americans understand things more in depth than the elite media will admit. In particular Americans are very savvy at reading their politicians and can see how owned they are by big donor money. The media still plays “make believe” when it comes to politicians. Kamala never wrote a book or a serious op ed, and nobody was buying her lack of intellect and experience.

Friedman forgets that Trump won in spite of most the media against him and political persecution. Friedman is out to lunch but that is very good for the US. As Napoleon said: "when the enemy is wrong do not distract him".
Friedman is another example of how you can hiperarticulate and at the same time with his common sense completely unhinged, but I suppose that is what happens to all elitist swept away by the people.

Britain is now no longer a world power and has little relevance in world affairs. All it is is an unsinkable aircraft carrier for the USAF. And Trump will cancel that. The only country to suffer under Trumps excesses will be the USA. The rest of the world will ring fence the USA and it will shrink to isolationist insignificance very rapidly. The 90 year era of the USA will be over. Only 50% of global trade is now in USD$, down from 90% ten years ago and the only thing that is healthy there is the Stock Market, and thats headed for a 40% correction. Large fund manages are cashing out of stocks like Warren Buffett and Blackrock, and into a basket of currencies that are safe offshore. So now is the time to leave and find a better country of live in.

I would listen to Friedman to see if he has added some new non sense to his repertoire but to listen to that woman , as well , is way too much. Last time I watch her moderating Neil Ferguson she had to be shut up at least once if not twice by the historian ! Insufrible. And I have just seen they will include Jeremy Bowen so I will not watch the debates again. Some people should not have a platform specially BBC people.
