Oh i can remember late 80s watching this with my mother! memories!

I,used to love watching this in 82 with my late mother on HTV Wales,miss the 80s,and being with my mother and late dad.

I used to watch Falcon Crest and Dallas

Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas and Falcon Crest were the CBS Friday night lineup from 1981 to 1985

BTW, Danny Tanner's car was driving the opposite direction in the opening of Full House.

Great edit. Only thing I would have left out though is that closing shot of the bird. I realise the falcon is the shows own namesake but it looks just absurd with that headgear on. Esoecially with the floppy ears making it look more rabbit than raptor!

Shows like this don't exist anymore because the competition is way, way less that it was in network TV days. Syndication first run (like Lamas in Renegade) could be produced quickly and cheaply without the need of network interference or meddling. During 3 network days the competition was brutal to get a show picked for prime time. So the writing, casting and music had to be the best. With syndication (and now streaming) it doesn't have to be the best at anything. Baywatch didn't have quality dialog, 1 theme song, and the casting was single threaded because the characters were interchangeable. That is why NBC cancelled it so quickly. In syndication, it was a massive money maker. This is why you don't see shows like this anymore. They stick to police/crime/attorney procedurals because they are cheap and risk free.

FALCON CREST. FRIDAY NIGHT AT 10:00 PM ON WBZ TV 4 BOSTON.
That was a huge hit which came on right after DALLAS. Earl Hamner created a drama that is definitely NOT THE WALTONS, but it was about power and a glass of wine.
JANE WYMAN, WHO HAD AN OSCAR, STARS AS ANGELA CHANNING, THE MATRIARCH OF FALCON CREST. It would last 9 wonderful years on CBS. I’d like to recall those classic dramas from the 80’s. Kenneth Huang. 2/21/24.
