that´s the best video about videos on this platform. Easy, simple, great style. Love it
ОтветитьI used to make little videos, looking back they were kinda bad, recored on an old ipod touch 4, or canon point and shoot.
I stopped after a couple years of dating my first girlfriend, I could never get the balance right between shooting photos and videos and actually being in the moment.
There is definitely a difference between documenting an experience and creating an actual memory that I still need to figure out.
I bought a Insta360 Go 2 when they first came on the scene after watching a few videos about how unintrusive they are, just press a button, and it should have been a hands free memory capturing machine. But I could never get along with it, it'd constantly overheat, and the battery life was poor out of the case. By the time I'd have got it out of it's dock/case the moment would have passed, or when attached to my head or chest the device would no longer be on standby and would take it a while to reboot before recording. Since then I have given up.
Going to try these out, thank you so much!!
ОтветитьExcellent tips man!
Ответитьnice one. Easy and simple tips. I'm out shooting this week so thank you for the pointers
ОтветитьGreat tips! I'm going to try to diversify my videos, so I'll give your method a try!
I have the non-X Ricoh GRIII also, and absolutely adore it! I thought about trying the X, but I feel like I enjoy wide angle shots more than tight ones. I can always crop in, but can't crop out.
I also have the poor man's DJI Pocket, the Film Palm Pro 2, and it has served me well. I was this close to grabbing the Pocket 3 from Costco, but find the size to be a tad unwieldy compared to what I'm used to.
Finally, I also use an Insta360 Go3 for handsfree shots. That has been a godsend. Oh, and when all else fails, I use my Pixel 9 Pro XL, which is also very capable.
Good video of the basics. Always a good reminder.
ОтветитьWhat a nice way to introduce people to cinematography

Love the tips. I bought a "cheap" point and shoot about a year ago, and I try to document everything. Easy to fit in my pocket. Also, unrelated but I have a vitiligo pattern very similar to yours. Cool to see.
ОтветитьHello 👋 congrats for your videos and your channel 😄 may I ask you what kind of lightning do you use for the room shots? Any recommendation on this area? Thanks 🙏
ОтветитьI really like my tiny Fuji XM5 and Gopro 12. thanks for all the tips.
Ответить@Greiss so you think a zoom lens is the best way to go? Especially if you're travelling?
ОтветитьCamera slightly too high
ОтветитьI wish I could go on a trip 😢
ОтветитьOne thing I learned from documenting my life is getting the shot of something happening, no matter how shaky or imperfect. Rather than trying to film the perfect shot but it becomes too scripted, thus, not feeling authentic when watching back after a few years. The shots I felt most nostalgic towards were the imperfect ones. Catching laughter and inside jokes. And when I focus on 'documenting', not 'filming', we remain in the moment even while the camera is running. And the camera becomes a part of the adventure, not a lens to pose in front of.
ОтветитьI'm so glad you gave some specific advice for us phone camera amateurs. This was such an inspiring video thank you!
