The primary purpose of a Marine Corps Drill Instructor is to train and transform civilians into disciplined, physically fit, and mentally tough United States Marines. They are responsible for instilling the core values of the Marine Corps, such as honor, courage, and commitment, in recruits. Drill Instructors provide both physical and mental training, teaching recruits skills, tactics, and knowledge required for military service.

Their role encompasses:

1. Discipline: Drill Instructors instill discipline, attention to detail, and a sense of teamwork in recruits. This is essential for the effectiveness and cohesion of Marine units.

2. Physical Fitness: They lead rigorous physical training sessions to ensure recruits meet and exceed the high physical standards of the Marine Corps.

3. Military Knowledge: Drill Instructors educate recruits about military customs, courtesies, regulations, and the history and traditions of the Marine Corps.

4. Combat Training: They train recruits in marksmanship, basic combat skills, and combat leadership.

5. Leadership: Drill Instructors serve as role models and leaders, setting the example for recruits to follow.

Overall, Drill Instructors play a critical role in shaping individuals into competent, disciplined, and resilient Marines, ready to serve their country with honor and commitment.

It reaches speeds faster than 30 knots. Much much faster but I can't say how much faster. That's classified. However, Gerard R, Ford is now the most Advanced aircraft Carrier that the US Navy has in Service.
