ОтветитьMuito FIXE !!!!
ОтветитьWatching this makes me feel like I'm at hobby lobby shopping for model cars😅
Ответить1987 Stu Hamm is saying...uhhh helllooooo???🤔
ОтветитьCharles, love your humility. Without a doubt you are a true ambassador for bass playing!
ОтветитьI'ms not 100% , but 90% sure Marcus used Double thumb possibly before victor ?
ОтветитьGlad you mentioned Stanley Clarke
ОтветитьWhat bass is that?
ОтветитьThanks guys for this and especially Charles .... totally awesome bassist ... influenced by Whooten - yet bringing so many more influences and dimensrions to the modern Bassist world!!!!❤
ОтветитьVictor is not playing bass, he is the bass 🙃
Ответитьyou guys should gear a railboard!
ОтветитьYou all suck at music. Victor Wooten is a hack. I say this as someone who bought ever one of his albums (and can do everything he does).
ОтветитьI played bass since 1979, and I am quite old "home hobbyplayer", you know. I was about 11 years old when I played first time like bass by acoustig guitar. After that, in age of 14 I bought real bassguitar.
I worked with it quite a lot of time few years. Then it was gone for long time causing some mowements In my life. I moved In our capital with new girlfrend and start studying...
I had heard slap bass playing In the begenning when I start bass play myself. And slapppppppppp bass made something big in me. Since then I have been great fan with slap bass and funky music. But biggest thing is founding your play with this great guitar!
You are awwwesome with your some spots In your music.
I musta ask sometime, how you do it. And I must learn more English language to do it 😅
Poor Reggie Wooten,...🤔
ОтветитьDont even have the words to explain how cool it is listening to both all of your tech lingo , i kinda follow but so interesting , but Charles is also a Straight Up Monster player. Thanks for the GREAT VLOG
ОтветитьVictor Wooten is the innovator for efficient bass. The double thumb is a good example - the complex notes with a percussive elements don't match his relaxed hand movements which seem to barely move. He said in an interview (for his slap bass VHS tape about 25 years ago) that he wasn't ready to play a 5 string, there was more to explore with his 4 string.
ОтветитьHe plays cello..
Been playing before he was born...
Brother had him peged for bass before he was born...
MUSIC NERDS MUSICALLY NERDING OUT!!!
ОтветитьWhy isnt Victor on this podcast lol
ОтветитьYou call the right bass player dude , playing wooten's songs is another level 😅
Ответитьlistening to their conversation makes me feel dumb, but i enjoyed that they all agree what they are talking about, and im happy. Charles what is happening there... charles "YES"
ОтветитьSounds direct.
Ответитьhow about Marcus Miller ??????
ОтветитьIs Charles paying flats?
ОтветитьI’m probably wrong and also, I didn’t watch the whole vid: Marcus Miller, which he gave us a sample of, is also a pioneer of clean crisp full spectrum slap bass. Did they give him a shout?
ОтветитьPianistic? How about classical guitar technique?!
ОтветитьThe guy that chimed in about Stanley Clarke is SO right.
ОтветитьVictor did not pioneer at all !!!
The Double thump Bass Technic came out of Minneapolis. It was probably invented by Larry Graham but it is a technic PRINCE has been extensively using it since 1980. He had Brownmark a.k.a. Mark Brown showcase it on The Controversy Tour in 1981. It’s a bass technique that all Minneapolis bass players use and has been adopted in funk worldwide since then.
These guys are really weird! Thank You!!
ОтветитьWhy does this look like it's been filmed in 1972
Ответитьthese two guys are dorks
ОтветитьI love Jim stinnet’s vids. He does a lot of jazz and Motown. Real nice guy, like a Christian should talk
ОтветитьThat’s not the backbeat that’s the offbeat “and” . Always sounds funky to emphasize the “and” that’s why disco was so funky.
ОтветитьFirst of all if I can make a correction without making anybody wrong, it's not a song. The first piece that Victor was playing was music. It had no lyrics. No one was vocalizing. A song has vocals and it has lyrics.
ОтветитьWith the Victor triplets I look at it as a tap dancing groove. There are tap dances who play triplets with their feet. When it is thought of this way it is another way to approach it - not that I can do it by any means.
Ответить😃
ОтветитьFREE BASS
ОтветитьVW is WAYYYYYYY over rated, he cant even hold down the bottom end ,always running his mouth and trying to show off, instead of actually playing "behs",I've never been impressed with him,hes not a true bassist imo, fullstop
ОтветитьI did an irl LOL at them introducing Charles as if everyone watching this didn't arrive here from his channel, 😂😂😂
ОтветитьI agree, Charles is sitting on the top of the world right now. Of course I love many players, but he is something different. And he is humble, that means class.. I think he is way better then Victor W. for example here, yet he can admire others.
I am a six-stringer guy so maybe I just cannot recognise things or skills and technical abilities maybe, but then again not that is the point. A very important tool on the other hand of course.
You forøget Stanley Clark 🙂
ОтветитьReaction videos. Such a bs concept unless you are the narcissist(s) making the video.
ОтветитьHearing Charles has a classical pianist background, may have something to do with him doing 2 hand technique so naturally for him. Besides all the work & practice, of course
