Yes they need to learn english ! PLSSSS i wan't to learn japanese but the process is taking forever like damn 4 yrs i can't wait that much and google isn't so advance
ОтветитьJapan has the most schooldays in the world, but there seems to be a missing issue in terms of what they’re teaching. The same is with Korean teaching of English, it’s all written and understanding that, but there’s 0 formal speaking tests whatsoever. I will say English in England itself is all subjective bullshit that is decided on the whim of what breakfast your examiner ate that day though.
ОтветитьMany Japanese don't speak English yet so many things around them, such as brands and signs, are in English. Behind most of them is a Cafe spelled in English.
Do Japanese people know what these signs mean?
A late comment but anyone reckon they will get better in speaking if they have English speaking tests in high school and if they want to enter college?
ОтветитьEnglish is being taught in Japanese schools like ancient greek in Greek schools, only grammar, and study for the test.
ОтветитьI feel like by the time these Japanese kids reach high school they should definitely be able to speak English fluently, I’ve only taken Spanish for less than a year and can probably hold a conversation for the most part
ОтветитьPeople will sit there and complain that Japanese is really hard without realizing that English regularly breaks its own rules and often doesn't make sense lol
ОтветитьI think English teachers in Japan need to add a bit more America, Britain, Canada, and other English speaking countries into their work. For example, showing a recording of a 4th of July celebration to bring some pizzazz to the usual snooze-fest.
ОтветитьDude the same guy that everyone else is talking about (Brooklyn cap guy) also has a solid north-east American accent. It's beautiful
Ответитьlol i'm fine how are you...haha yeah, we never say that...we always say good...or fine
ОтветитьI am the polar opposite!
I am a native English speaker, who felt he had to learn learned Japanese, starting in 1969.
(Because I was interested in electronics.)
The two dudes who studied in the US are super based, love it.
ОтветитьEnglish is obviously useless to a country that became the 2nd largest economy at one point and is 3rd only after China. The Japanese are much better off learning and practicing Mandarin and Korean, hell even Russian due to close proximity, than they are ENGRISH! To think, even here in America, most Americans suck at speaking their one and only language...known as American :P And in the age of high-tech tools and platforms, instant translation will make language learning not as necessary as it once was, although it is still a good thing to learn other languages. The biggest takeaway here is that Japan is still enslaved to America after being nuked in 1945, which was a very long time ago. But America is a declining power. Of course there are still Canada, the UK, New Zealand, and Australia that are also English-speaking countries, but their demographics are quickly changing, much like here in America. Moreover, Spanish will soon overtake English in the US! So my sincerest advice to the Japanese is to learn more practical languages, specifically regionally-dominant ones, instead of learning the languages of declining powers. I'll give you the example of Pakistan and India. These two countries are totally beholden to English culture since their independence in 1947. And today, their cultures are steeped in an inferiority complex. If one cannot speak English, one is mistreated and shunned from elite social circles. At least for now, the Japanese have managed to preserve their own unique and beautiful culture. And they've borrowed Kanji from China, so it makes more sense to focus on learning Mandarin and Korean, both rising cultures in East Asia. Japan will decline along with America if it continues in its foolish and clearly inefficient effort in continuing to enshrine English. What did Albert Einstein say..."Madness is repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting different results!"
ОтветитьIf u ask many japanese people ''do u speak english'', they answet ''sukoshi''. but then it turns out that they're fluent
ОтветитьThey want to learn english so bad and i want to learn japenese so bad. 😩😩
ОтветитьIt's obviously beacuse of difference of grammer structure between 2 languages
ОтветитьThat one guy annoyed me as much as Americans do with their stupid 'likes' and 'you knows' in every sentence! So in other ways, he sounds really, really American. 😂
ОтветитьAre there English channels on tv in Japan?
ОтветитьFinally this video got recommended after almost 8 years lmao
Ответитьmany useless unemployed who are fluent in English than fluent in Japanese
ОтветитьThat was really interesting. One guy said the answer to the question is " I'm fine thank you" and that you never say that. Well that's exactly what english people say . Often 30 tines a day ! . I think people in Japan confuse English and American a lot , which are quite different .
ОтветитьThey need to be taught street English typical American English. Nothing like how my Spanish class taught me. Cause things I was taught in Spanish class was never used while speaking to people in the real world. .. those two guys spoke really well. I know that when foreigners don't understand u that start guessing. That's gotta be awkward for them for it would be for me if the rolls was reversed
ОтветитьThe one guys English is like..really..like good.
You can tell he was adopted by the anime emo chicks in high-school 😆
It's too cute tho
That one guy almost sounds like a normal New Yorker. Could have fooled me lol
ОтветитьWhy can't Americans speak other languages?
ОтветитьGuy in the cap is so good you can hear the New York accent about as much as the Japanese accent
ОтветитьAlso, Japanese have a super strong media presence, they don't "need" to consume English media.
ОтветитьNot sure about this, but I think in Japan, their schools give the opportunity to also speak English or learn it. But, It is like any language, if you don't practice/use it everyday, you can't or don't want to use the language. I took 2 years of Spanish, but never used it after it was taught to me in High School, so I couldn't do conversations now.
On the other hand, why can't Americans speak Japanese.
When i went to school back in the 1960's, in the US we don't start learning a 2nd language until high school, and that was only for 1-2 years of text book and Lab training. But not sure if the US High Schools teach Japanese. Google says it is very rare for Japanese being taught in US High School levels. I took 2 years of Spanish, and other languages were French and German taught at my school.
The guy with the Brooklyn cap and the black shirt excellent American accent. It's different when you really put yourself or put the effort in learning the language.
ОтветитьEngrish.
Ответитьalot of english people dont even speak english correctly
ОтветитьThe two guys speak perfect!
ОтветитьThose two guys were amazing
ОтветитьI fully agree that Japanese people don’t all need to speak English. I’m from America and I think if you wanna come here don’t expect anyone to speak anything except English even tho a lot of people do most people don’t. Just like I plan on visiting Japan so I’m studying it
ОтветитьWow, that guy with the Brooklyn hat sounds straight up American and his friend, while still having a slight accent, is pretty close as well.
ОтветитьThere's a bit of an irony here, because of course, native English speakers themselves are notorious for rarely bothering to learn additional languages. I am British, but was lucky to have an inspirational French teacher who tended to ignore formal grammar in favour of actually trying to communicate in French. He also insisted that you should never visit a country if you can't at least say; hello, goodbye, please, thank you, yes and no - just six words but really useful and the native speakers will tend to treat better if you've made even this basic effort.
Ответитьi wonder what most Japanese people think is the best way to learn Japanese. I bet they'd know the best shortcuts. I'd be curious to see that.
Ответить2 main reasons I think why Japanese don't speak English: language structure is different makes learning English hard for them .
2. When 90+% are Japanese you don't have a lot of chances to practice English plus they're bit shy.
"Why can't Japanese speak English?" One might ask the question, "Why can't Americans speak Japanese? Or Chinese? Or actually ANY language?
ОтветитьWHAT THE ADVANTAGE
OF SPEAKING ENGLISH?
In general it is hard for japenese people to learn english. For me as a german it's pretty easy, most of my friends (around 18 years could communicate with english speakers without problems)
