I would like to point out that the destruction of old buildings to make room for the new is hardly unique to China. NYC did the same thing after the war and maybe it was a bit less brutal but it did result in the dissection of neighbourhoods and displacement of houses

This video has totally different point of view from the fact we saw here in Guangzhou China, if you search using keyword "Liede Village", which is a urban village in Guangzhou and it was transformed into an high rise building area in the center of Guangzhou city and all the villagers received millions us dollars worth compensation and become rich landlord and don't need to work any more with those huge fortune.

In major Chinese cities, the rent for a comfortable apartment is much more affordable compared to USA and European, which is about 1000-1600 rmb (about 142usd to 200 usd) price to rent. In LA, it cost you about 2000 USD to rent a fairly good apartment to live. The homeless situation here in China is so rare compared to USA and Europe because cheap rent of apartment.

It says the Government needs to tackle the housing issues but then how? If the government itself is part of the problem. I'd say international system needs to take place. What if, any country is not allowed to have fellow citizen to set rules and rule the country? Meaning it has to be a group of people from the government of another country that will need to resolve China's issue and same thing goes to every countries around the world. Maybe that will change the world.
