If you are going to do 3D print content it's super important you get the PPE explainer right.
Failing to mention that the dust from sintering machines is super toxic & get's everywhere. It's not a technology you want to have at home.
I don't think they explained how toxic resin uncured is, get enough on your skin and you'll be come allaric to it - same thing happens to your lungs if you sniff it (yeah I see you huffing it in the video).
ABS and other FDM materials are also toxic and the fumes & dust are not something you want to have build up in your garage.

I didn't even watch the entire video yet, just wanna say this is the 3000th comment and I got my Ender 3 for 180 euros and the one in the beginning of the video is not an Ender 3 but an Ender 3 V2 with couple of upgrades among others a custom bed and sprite extruder.

3D printers have come a long way and Creality makes a printer you can buy for $170 and it will blow the Ender 3 in this video out of the water. If you guys ever wanted to actually buy one 😅 “Ender 3 V3 SE”

That ultimaker is ancient tech by today's standards, single lead screw cantilever bed, cross gantry kinematic, fucking glass bed, turtle speed and acceleration... It just doesn't compare to X1Cs and vorons of the day and definitely hasn't been worth 7k for a while now
Also try bringing a real 3d printing specialist next time, modbot? Teaching tech? 3d printing nerd? Anyone?

An ender 3? For $300?

Jesus christ man, you couldn't pay me $300 to take an ender 3 off your hands. You got scammed so hard.

For $300 you could have got an A1 mini AMS combo for less and gotten fantastic prints.

You could have spent $160 and gotten an elegoo neptune 3 pro and still gotten great prints for half that price.

Enders were good for the time, but in 2025 there are the equipment of buying a model T

the ultimaker at $7000 is actually a scam lol
You can get the exact same if not better build quality for 1/7th the price or lower.
My k1c can do the exact same if not better performance for it being only like, $600.

In the time since this video has been made, the desktop 3D printer companies have been eating Stratasys's lunch, making high-end (or enterprise) products that have more features/capabilities for 10% the price (and without the filament lock-in and mandatory service contracts). Stratasys has responded by suing the desktop 3D printer companies for patent infringement.
