Hardware issues can be demoralising - never easy fault finding in the dark! A fishing session with a little trouble beats no fishing at all - thanks for sharing.

You will get it one day. A trick down SA way is to fish closed river / creek mouths right after a big rain, and the mouth busts open and washes out into the sea. They bite most the night / morning after, not on the same day as the rain.

Here in SA we mainly cook blue swimmer crabs as a meal and use sand crabs in stock and cooking etc. still good eating though. Normally boil for 8-12 minutes with salt and plenty of lemon to taste

It’s nice watching your videos Gido, you catching bait fish (tommy ruffs) are the fish my dad and I used to catch and keep for dinner…😂😂😂 that’s back in the 70’s and 80’s. He’d either bbq them or fillet and pickle them. You can take the German out of Germany.
