Controversial Apple change! iPhone Update!

How would you get the public excited about a computer that maybe isn’t the most innovative and kinda boring?

Stage a “Leak” more people are talking about it now then they would before.

With a 2500 usd price tag the updates should be once a decade not annually. 😂😂😂😂

They did not meet the deadline for iPhone 16 really as the hardware released but not the main features Apple Intelligence.....!

I been saying this for years that the yearly cycle was a bad move it worked in the beginning but it is WHOLLY unnecessary these days we don’t need a “best camera ever” every year .

Yearly upgrades started when Apple got greedy and Samsung followed now they are going back to every 2 years smh wow because they peaked at the 13 pro max,

Apple should change its policy and launch devices as soon as they think are ready for public. Irrespective of specific dates or release cycles.

I’m good with yearly I upgrade yearly either way. I keep my iPad Pro for 2 years then swap and my iPad mini I change with every update as foreflight only gets more power consuming

Why is the antenna band infamous? It was a good design decision. My biggest beef with the new iPhones is the filters on audio for video recording. It sounds like crap when compared to the older versions. And the camera quality is only a slight improvement over say iPhone 12.

Honestly…once a year iPhone upgrade is crazy I’m still using an iPhone 12 MINI!! I have no complaints, I get updates and the only thing that bugs me is reduced battery life, but honestly I never get to bent over it, I carry a power bank everywhere and leave it on Power save mode.

Need new iPad mini now.

You need to try the ai on pixel and Samsung like Gemini and sketch to image and pixel studio it's amazing

They could even go back to an S release where every other years there’s an S phone with a slight spec bump for the people that can’t wait, and it would logically be the same phone as last year with slight processor bump or whatever. 😊

I sold my Apple stock so NO, they don’t need to release a new iPhone every year anymore!
I used to think it was good money making strategy. But I wonder if less frequent updates wouldn’t save as much R&D cost as the annual new iPhone generates in revenue by making development and retooling costs less expensive.

I like their changes to the upgrade cycle for their other products

I think that iPad Pro should release every year in March especially the iPad Pro models because I don’t know what to do for next year do I wait for the M5 iPad Pro or next summer when i have enough money just buy the M4 and that’s good enough my current M1 is sitting at 78% battery health.. and do I keep using it until next summer?

A two year upgrade cycle with improvements and breaking the rule occasionally for competition breakthrough would be awesome and reasonable in this age of planned obsolescence...

Phone companies must take example from Playstation and release a phone every 3-5 years

I sometimes think that the delay on the release of some features by apple is a mere marketing strategy, for instance if the AI is set to be fully released sometime around Jan 2025 which would sorta line up with the release of the S25, that would just keep some buzz going for them too other than to be completely shadowed by Samsung. Again, all about strategy to stay relevant...even if just slightly. bad or good, is still a move.

They need to keep making the iPhone in Starlight for us who have everything in Starlight lol some of us like our products to be the same color

I am tired of this is the slimmest iPhone yet, we have shaved off 3 microns and it now comes in chartreuse, pumpkin orange and not quite purple. Bring back the off year "S" updates where it was faster different color etc. but it was basically the same phone and go on a 2-3 year major revision schedule.

I want a foldable for featured top in phone pro plus I want it foldable go in my pocket I wanna lot on the top screen I want it for featured and I don’t wanna wait anymore either

This is a random one, but I think that Apple Watches are the most useless gadgets, hear me out. Your phone tells the time ,so what do you need to watch for ? the base design of the existing device wouldve been perfect as an iPod not a watch.. yes, it can still tell the time but it’s main intent and purpose shouldve been to store music

Updating every year seems a bit excessive but putting some kind of a deadline on upgrading your tech in general does, I say poll/survey the apple chat rooms get a better idea of the tech a majority of people would like to see added and go to town, release when the product is able to meet quality standards, yes there will be some apple techies that blow their top at the thought of not having a yearly release event, but a bigger majority of the users will enjoy a much more stable and ready out of the box experience. I feel the iPhone 16 sales would have done a whole lot better if they dropped the Apple AI at the same time they did the phone

Apple rlly needs to stop making phones every year and move onto a 2 or 3 year cycle as iPhone has now matured enough to run for years to come

We just want a phone that works and works good no pointless new features nothing that adds pointless complexity just a dumb phone that’s indestructible and functions
