Doom (2016) Helped Me Get Over My FPS Fatigue

I still say that this game looks better than doom eternal.and the suit.


The 2016 suit is GOD-TIER.

Anways,god i wish there was a version of doom eternal that looked like 2016.2016 has the artstyle,eternal has the gameplay.its a perfect combo.

But the gauss cannon isn't the only new weapon, the heavy rifle is new as well.

doom 2016 was my first doom ever and I was 12 years old when I played it, that music along with demons spawning behind me scared me so bad since I'd only play the game at night

Doom 2016 was so good that when i ran it on my potato PC it was the best fucking game i have ever played apart from Star Wars Republic commando.

My favorite moment in Doom 2016, brief as it was, is when the Slayer backed up Vega to keep him alive. Really shows that while the Slayer may be an unstoppable super soldier that kills demons for a living, he's still human under the armor and saving Vega like that shows he can still show empathy.

You can kill me, but Doom 2016 was better than Doom Eternal.

The only complaint I can really lever against the game is at some point after the Barons are introduced, combat becomes very predictable. It’s pretty much always Possessed/Imps/Hell Knights, followed by Revenants, Cacodemons, and Mancubi, then likely topped with Barons. It borders on tedium now and then.

Just gonna say it: Doom 2016 is visually a remake of Doom 3

I like how they took the super shotgun (which was already a pretty powerful weapon in the first few games) and just made is more badass with the upgrades

I was a idiot whos thoughts on doom was i dont like turn off your brain combat. Huge metalhead. So i loved the soundtrack for doom 2016 and eternal wothout ever playing either. And i decided on a whim to give it a whirl again. And had the pleasure or realizing that the combat is anything but turn your brain off shooting. Knowing which weapns to use on which demons and which secondary fire abilities to use on what parts of tje demons was one of the best most fun learning curves ive ever tackled. And then when it all comes together to create these scenes of ripping and tearing to a nephalim meets metal soundtrack it made me happy im currently gettimg to habe my first run throughs of doom 2016 and eternal. These games came into my life right when they needed to. And im enjoying every second of demon shredding savagery. Finally after knowing all the lore and being a huge fan of doom as a concept for so long. Im offically a doom player. Haha this has been my story. Welcome a new ripper into the community haha.

I just realized. This man uses quickswapping in the game predating eternal, the game focused on quickswapping. Correct me if im wrong

Don’t forget that there’s a glitch with the gauss cannon and siege mode that lets it fire a siege mode blast instantly. In case you didn’t think siege mode was broken enough

I miss this game’s multiplayer a lot. I thought it was so much fun

There is one thing I don’t like about this game. It completely ruins the experience, destroys any sense of immersion and makes the game completely unplayable.

Still the best Doom game ever made. Eternal sadly didn't live up to it, but maybe the next one will be better

Doom 2016 is the best doom game. I love Doom 2 and 3, but 2016 is just special...I like Eternal too, but it never reaches the heights of 2016 for me.

Interesting how a marine soldier was able to survive the demon creatures and of course U A C space crew got possessed with lots of deaths collectable items are nice too I'm not fussy about metal sound track it feels important to be in this because it's so bad ass funtertainment .

The Slayer not liking the tether Samuel Haden installs makes a lot more sense after the Dark Ages.

I have a personal head cannon that the BFG stood for bio force gun like the movie but then a scientist just started calling it the big fucking gun and the name stuck hard and Hayden still thinks it stands for bio force gun.
