Used my saw for one day.. worked great. Could never start it again. Followed all instructions, well lubed, gassed etc. Return to Home Depot.. electric works every time. This was a waste of time and money (except day one)

Good saws and good advice. I’ve made it a habit to switch the on/off switch back to on after I shut the saw off so I don’t forget that step and flood it. You don’t have to push the decompress button but if you’re not strong enough it does make it easier to pull. I’ve never understood why equipment doesn’t come with a dvd on safety/starting/basic maintenance and accessories.

Mine kept flooding. I have 4 hours for my rental and for an hour and a half I couldn't get it to start again. Pos if you ask me.

Hate this POS saw. Used it twice new tru fuel and never starts this easy. Have many echo products and this is by far the worst one.

DO NOT PUSH THE DECOMPRESSION VALVE!! Even though the video says to, the guy at Home Depot told me not to when I brought it back after not being able to get it cranked. It robs the engine of compression . I had to take the chainsaw rental back and he was able to crank it when he pried the decompression valve back up. Also, when I got back home, still had trouble cranking. Turned out I needed to hold the chainsaw in the air with the Chain angling towards the ground. It seems like this got the gas flowing better. Also hold both triggers while you’re cranking in mid air. May may need two people. If you’re left-handed, that will help! Hope that helps and good luck!

i borrowed a CS-590 yesterday that a mate left in my shed 6 months ago (i'm storing it and several others)
i watched this video, followed the instructions and aside from using the decomp button once (to prime the fuel line), it false started on second pull and ran on 4th pull.
it started 1st pull a dozen times after that, i'm quite impressed, sadly it's just a bit too heavy for me to use more than 10 minutes at a time.

This chainsaw is amazing when it actually works, that being said, it’s the biggest pile of shit I’ve ever bought in my life. I follow everything to a T, and it only starts when it feels like it. What a joke, I paid over $500 for this thing.

Who is the asole that engineered a problem into their product. If it wasn't bad enough I was standing by echo when this failure occurred. As in my argument against an associate w/brand new side by side. And mine failed to turn on after hours of pulling this fkng handle so imagine my amazement when I read the comment NOT TO PRESS THE COMPRESSION oh hallelujah STOP! I'm not going to waste your time with a happy ending. Whether the apron they placed over this flacid rod along the side of the motor was the reason for why I was embarrassed or the 50:1 engineered fuel that failed to ignite I cannot say. In my opinion perhaps it was the girly hands that couldn't pull the cord the correct angle while pressing every button chocked both sides of a chainsaw upon starting a brand new piece of LIABILITY. Thank you echo you have my most sincere thoughts. I am returning this and i I'm going to be the one to explain to a customer why I took an entire day OFF at their house rather than just stay home or do anything else. I must be committed to my work.

Mine worked great first 5 times cuts through everything. Can’t get it started last 3x I wanted to use. POS if you ask me. $500 down the drain. Have to take to my mechanic now to see what’s wrong. Ashamed that this garbage flys nowadays. Will never buy another echo product again.

I bought a used one and it started right up at the pawn shop, but I got it home and it wouldn't start for either me or a friend who knows more about chainsaws than I do.
I watched your video and the thing started right up on the second pull.
