I think the channel will take off more with camaro content bro. If u too comfortable then u doing something wrong🤷🏾♂️ I think the channel will grow enough and pay for itself if u keep the maro
ОтветитьYeah the car game is costly 💵💵🚗💨
ОтветитьPut that parts list up with links that will sent the part directly to you. Viewers have the option to help or not. I feel as if it gives us viewers ownership in the channel and whoever donates can get a shout out and continue to enjoy the hard work you've put into your channel.
ОтветитьHonestly Austin, if it was me I think I would sell the 3000 gt and keep the Camaro. You seem to really like the Camaro and I think you could do alot of great content with it. I know for me personally I've gone through a number of cars to get to where I am right now and for me because of the way the market is I came through relatively unscathed. You and I have spoke quite a bit on Instagram and I told you how much I'm loving my BMW M340i and you have been nothing but supportive of me. I will always support you're channel regardless of content because at the end of the day you're a great guy with a passion for cars just like me.
ОтветитьWhich car gives you more satisfaction and fun? That's where I'd put my money. 👍
ОтветитьHeadache and heart break not worth it. Sell it, lesson learned.
ОтветитьI believe that getting the techno car repaired in all functional areas is a first priority for its value going forward. Just as in original and stock . Anything else besides basic cosmetics will not really add value. And you would be saving this marvel for the next owner if you sell it. Just do a spreadsheet on the cost/ benefits of each repair and be as frugal as you can. Otherwise, just crash the project and sell it with all of the known issues in honesty to a new enthusiast that wants to make a go at it. I love your realistic approach to owning cars. I personally still like the Vanishing Point Challenger you had. I was a huge Ford guy for years and now have the Challenger. The original Gone in 60 and Vanishing Point Movies are my favorites along with Bullit. Nice channel you have..
ОтветитьThat's twice iv'e seen someone suffer a major oil leak problem with a 3000gt, I'm sorry to hear it man.
ОтветитьSeveral folks have said it, but I’ll say it again. Go with your gut and do what’s best for you and your family. As long as you’re putting out car content, I’ll be tuning in.
ОтветитьKeep the camaro!
ОтветитьI love my SS 1LE, so I’m biased. With that said, I’d find a way to offload the GT. My favorite car I’ve ever owned was a 2005 Forester 2.5 XT with a manual. Like all turbo Subarus, it burned oil like crazy above 150k. Ringland failure. Did an engine rebuild at 165k. Then the AC compressor failed. Then the clutch. Then the valve cover seals, fuel pump, etc. I loved that car but it became a money pit and huge source of stress. It got to the point where I couldn’t enjoy the car. I sold it for $5,500 and have zero regrets.
ОтветитьIn your shoes I would definitely let the 3000 go. Who knows what else is wrong with it.
ОтветитьFYI, Dealers are dying for great used cars, I sold my 2021 SS 1LE, had 8 dealers wanting it, Vroom was the lowest. I got almost MSRP, minimal loss, it's a crazy world when u can get your money back on a new car this quick instead of losing thousands !!!!! And yes, I loved it too, but the 1LE package sucked for the long road trips and the insurance on the Camaro was crazy... I share your pain... 🤢🤑😎
ОтветитьI would cut your losses on the 3000, and focus on the Camaro. You can always pickup another project after the Camaro is paid off.
ОтветитьDude that Camaro will be more rare than the 3000GT. Please keep the Camaro. It is beautiful.
ОтветитьDitch the 3000. If you put down alot of money on the Camaro I would not sell it and would keep posting about it to YT. Or if you didn't put down alot of money down on the 1LE you could sell it and purchase a 1SS or an LT1, that way you still have a V8 Camaro to enjoy! You don't plan on going to the track anyway right? Make some money back by selling them both and get an affordable V8 Camaro that you know you will still love and will generate YT views. Hope it works out whatever you do.
ОтветитьIt's okay man. I dropped 5 g on a rebuilt trans for a 2001 chevy camaro. It was an emotional decision for a car I owned for 17 years. 4 years later I couldn't even sell the car due to multiple other problems with it, so I gave it away. Now, I have a 2021 2ss and all is good.
ОтветитьReally don’t want to see the camaro go.. I say just take your time with that 3000gt, do videos here and there on it but don’t feel committed to flip this car around in a short amount of time. (Do what you can afford to it) but just my opinion, do what your gut tells you to do! And where your passion guides you!
ОтветитьAustin: sell the car. Take a loss on it, get on with your life. David B.
ОтветитьIf I were you, I'd sell the Mitsubishi and take the loss. The Camaro is still a new car, with a warranty, and should theoretically be reliable. Then down the road, once the Camaro is closer to being paid off, and if you still want a project car, look for something a little bit cheaper that you can comfortably budget for.
I can only imagine the stress you're going through though, so if you decide to sell both and get something like a new 86, I'd fully support your decision. That was actually my first choice of a new car until I decided to try the Camaro instead (since I've never owned a V8, and wanted to try one out before they're no longer being made). Heck, if for some reason the order for the Camaro doesn't pan out, I might just go back to the 86 as I've heard nothing but great things about it.
If I were you I would keep the camaro. you seem really happy with that car
ОтветитьDon’t sell the Camaro!
ОтветитьIf you can’t afford it sell it . Why stress about a toy you can’t afford at this moment. You could always buy something else down the road when you are financially in a better position.
ОтветитьI think considering the purchase of the camaro was so recent and then buying this one with all of the issues it has if your talking about how much your payments are on two vehicles maybe that second purchase was a mistake.
Id sell it at a loss and focus on the working sports car you have, also if your going to mute all of the criticism that comes from posting stuff like this you shouldn't post it as if you only look at the people praising you then your not going to learn anything.
Oh man, I know how you’re feeling. I was in similar shoes last month and this month. Someone’s doing what you gotta do sucks. You’ve got my support whatever decision you make!
ОтветитьBummer! I really like your Camaro and would say keep it and sell the project car. Alternatively, maybe work on the project car slowly 🤷♂️. I think project cars can sometimes end up being Pandora’s box taking up a lot of time and money. Ultimately pick whichever one you enjoy more. Tough decision. That really stinks that the seller wasn’t honest with you. By the way, nice Khalil Mack jersey! Go Bears!
ОтветитьWe are ok with whatever you decide. Really like your channel.
ОтветитьHey Austin, I think if you didn't have this thing financed you'd have a different perspective. No one wants to make payments on a broken asset because it feels like a waste of money, which is totally fair. Most people I know with project cars save up the money to buy them outright and then work on them as they have the time and money. I feel like something like that might be better for you because then you could focus on working on the car over time and it wouldn't matter as much if you run into major issues like head gaskets because it's a project car and it doesn't have to be "done" at any particular time. And it doesn't feel bad when you make that payment every month on an asset that isn't worth it. I'm not shitting on you for financing. I'm just saying that project cars usually come with unexpected expenses and I think you'd have less anxiety over it if you weren't financed.
If you keep the 3000 GT, I'd recommend doing the head gaskets yourself. You're always going to run into issues with project cars. Part of the fun is figuring out how to navigate these obstacles. It can give you a great sense of accomplishment when you do something you didn't think you were capable of.
If you're thinking about selling the Camaro to be able to put more money into the 3000 GT, then I vote no. You seem like you genuinely love the Camaro, and had it built with all the options and features the way you wanted it. I think it's going to be extremely difficult if not impossible to find another Camaro with those same specs in a few years.
Get rid of that money pit and keep the camaro....simple solution.
ОтветитьI’ve had 2 vr4’s in my life, and from my experience I’d say to sell the vr4 honestly. Im sure about 90% of these cars weren’t taken care of at all, or have received cheap labor and ghetto rigs. The parts for 3000gt’s now are pretty expensive, and if you want to take it to a shop, most of them would have no clue on the damn thing. It sucks to not keep the 3s, but honestly you’ll save yourself the headache
ОтветитьI appreciate the real talk. Ive heard a lot about mechanical issues with the 3000gt’s. I’m sure it’s a fun car but would worry me about it’s reliability. Not to mention the unexpected expenses. Unless money isn’t an issue …This ultimately comes down to your tolerance for risk. And seems like the gt’s stock is falling fast.
ОтветитьMan, that's just shot fashitsho!!! I was really looking foward to that 3000GT But honestly, I say just wait a bit on selling it and then going ahead. 😔😔😔😔😔
ОтветитьGet that Gofundme or Patreon going!
ОтветитьI think you can sell a kidney or some other organ down in Mexico for a pretty penny😂
ОтветитьKeep the Camaro until next Spring. Nobody is going to pay premium money in the next 3 months. Let it warm up and the market lighten in stock. The Camaro hasnt corrected to the market yet. Equity may raise $15k to comparative market values on competitor cars. A $50k Bronco is going for $75 right now. Its SUV season. I may unload mine, if I can get 2.5X my down payment.
ОтветитьSell the 3000gt and keep the camaro, no brainer. Camaro is the best driver's car.
ОтветитьSell the 3000 GT and focus on the Camaro! We love the Camaro 😎😎
ОтветитьDo what makes you feel best! There’s only 1 person that’s gotta live it and it’s you! Hope you can figure out the next move! Love the channel!
Ответитьhonestly bro, i would let go of the 3000GT! A buddy of mine had one years ago when they were still fairly current and he had a ton of problems with it and at the time i had a 2003 RX7 R1 Twin Turbo which was an amazing car but i had a ton of problems with that as well! As a previous owner of a 2018 SS1LE which i loved and now current owner of a 21' ZL1 1LE which i will never sell unless i get a new C8 Z06 you can always get a project car later on that maybe will cost you less to mod! Its up to you, just putting in my 2 cents worth! Good Luck whatever you decide.
ОтветитьTo do something right especially project car takes all your focus. Especially to do it right you have to do it one at a time.
ОтветитьBro I appreciate your down to earth thoughts on this. Ultimately our passion and financial play into how we progress with our cars. Sometimes it just makes since not to do it and other times we just push through and build with it. You'll find your own best decision for your own scenario. best luck bro
ОтветитьI’ve been in similar situation before. When you have a new car and payment it’s hard to do a project car as well. Best bet either sell it or let it sit until Camaro is paid off. Hey as most car guys we are big dreamers on what we can do. Hang in there!
Ответитьif you sell the mitsubishi 3000 gt vr4 how much do you want to get?
ОтветитьHonestly bro do what you feel is best for you and your situation . At the end of the day there just cars and you have to do whats best for you and your family. Cars now days are extremely high , those new l1e ss start at 50k + with options . If I were you tho I would sell the project car and keep the ss . You could’ve tuned the ss and got a intake
ОтветитьWhats your reasoning on saying its a head gasket? Not doubting you completely, but ive seen people misdiagnose things all the time in this platform. Rarely do i see a head gasket go out on these cars unless your pushing some big power
ОтветитьHold on to the Camaro!!!!!!
ОтветитьDefinitely keep the Camaro and if you want to sell it - let me know!!! I know it has been taken well care off.
Ответить
