ОтветитьSTAY OUT OF THE WILDLIFE HABITAT.
ОтветитьI wonder why we still can't pack heat in SoCal, especially when hitting trails. I personally would rather have one just in case! If I carried concealed here in CA and was caught I would be viewed as a criminal!
ОтветитьWhen you see . " Mountain lion attack" ..you rhink it is a person who had the attack happen to them ....not a dog...! But scary enough... that's why you have some self protection with you....!
ОтветитьPeople who leash up a snack for trail time shouldn’t be surprised when a larger carnivore who’s pressed for food by human encroachment makes a play.

ОтветитьDogs can provoke animals that would otherwise remain calm
ie cattle, horses
Mountain lions don't generally target humans, and as normal, in this case, it was going for the dog. I couldn't live in any state where I can't carry protection with me. I'm far more concerned about creepy humans out on the hiking trail than wild animals, but regardless, I go nowhere without protection. I also don't live in So CA and likely never will.
